This short film was pure teamwork—from the incredible young actors from @aaftala to the artists behind the lens. We shot two cameras in one day with Blazar anamorphics, a Blackmagic 6K Cine, the trusty BMCC 4K, and even a MiniDV Handycam as a practical cam inside the scene. Huge congratulations to our dear friend and AAFTA family member, Preston Pimentel (@pdog_pimz ), whose film “Party Starts at 5, So Come at 6” won best in its category at the FilAm Creative Arts Festival! 👏 Preston acted as the lead in this culturally rich and comedic short, sharing: “I love storytelling. I had the joy of lending myself to a culturally enriching, playful, and comedic tone for a film.
