@simonfoxton and creative technology studio
@a_new_plane to reflect the changing ways we live and love by merging the physical with the digital in an editorial for the debut of
@numerony , providing a snapshot into loving couples in 21st century USA.
Each background and couple has been carved from a careful set of AI prompts by
@simonfoxton , each image also features a real model, photographed by Knight and styled by
@thegoatdancer in my studio before the images are combined and refined by A New Plane. The result is one part AI, one part human.
Transcending physical and virtual boundaries, Love in America doesn’t just reckon with a new way of image-making, it questions how we adopt love in the digital sphere. Online, we’re already evolving the parameters of digital love: from OnlyFans, to dating apps and even ChatGPT. Humans have been searching for happiness and the relief from feelings of loneliness in ‘real’ life for as long as we’ve known but what will that search look like in the future? Just google ‘Virtual boyfriend’ …..
