Trying out some location night-shoot lighting ideas which inevitably led me down a ‘Joseph Wright of Derby’ rabbit hole and ended up a bit gay , quelle surprise ! #nightlights #outdooractivities #midjourneyillustration #ai

Some highlights of Mr. Tweed’s wonderful collection of paintings and illustrations that we just sold . Mostly pre-war , and all of British domestic interior scenes with quite the homoerotic undercurrent . The whole lot went to a single buyer , in Dubai of all places ! Not a bad day’s work , I could do with a drink now . Mine’s a large one ! Bottoms Up ! #britishdomesticinteriors #queerart #midjourneyillustration #ai

A pleasant afternoon wandering around the Ealing Furniture Museum . Nice to see some actual pieces of the Ruinismo Ornamentale movement in the flesh . Often viewed as a bastard hybrid of Memphis and upcycling , this short lived mid-eighties trend was unpopular at the time but is now highly collectible. #midjourneyphotography #itsnotreal #keepyourhairon #ai

What a nice surprise to come across these large artworks yesterday whilst walking through Fitzrovia and Mayfair . Beautiful great bejewelled pieces of ex-military hardware created by the Northumbrian artist Betty Bothways . I think they were only on display for one day so , unfortunately , if you missed them then you missed them ! #recommissionedarmaments #midjourneyphotography #ai

Popped back up to Park Royal at the weekend to check out my friend Chilton’s other old factory building which is a warren of live/work studios and showrooms . I documented his first building , ‘Mono’ , which has all white interiors , a few months back . This one is called ‘Poly’ and is perhaps a bit scruffier but maybe more inviting . I guess you can decide . #industrialunits #liveworkspace #midjourneyinteriors #ai

An afternoon spent in a dwam , pulled hither and yon by the excitement of nudging and happenstance that , for me , only a.i. can elicit . #warpedreflection #cargo #midjourneyai

Well , that was quite a night ! A huge thanks to both the Northfields and the Boston Manor allotment societies for putting together such a great evening . Their annual Dinner and Dances have always been a high spot in the Ealing social calendar but tonight’s ‘70s Glamour’ themed party will be hard to beat . A special mention should go to entertainments coordinator Derek Alsop whose brainwave it was to twin the event with the Ealing LGBTQ+ Annual Gala , which everyone agreed gave the event a certain pizazz . Great fun ! #allotmentsociety #dinneranddance #midjourneyphotography #ai

A final roundup of the craze for decorative house painting that seems to be sweeping the Western suburbs of London lately . Chiswick , Hanwell , Hayes , Greenford , Perivale , they’re all at it ! From Klimt to Postmodern , graphic to leopardskin , there’s something for everyone . I’ve half a mind to give it a go myself . #decorativeexterior #fiction #midjourneyphotography #ai

Remember when there were actual shops and you could go in them and buy stuff and everything ? Those of you who grew up in smaller towns in Great Britain in the 50s and 60s no doubt remember businesses that often doubled-up and sold quite baffling combinations of things . Here is a selection of amateur photos I came across that took me back to my childhood and some of those confusing premises . In no particular order there are ; Wool and Wet Fish , Toys ‘n Meat , Baked Goods and Electronics, Sheet Music and Veg. , Tropical Fish and Fireworks , Chemist and Taxidermy , Haberdashers and Heavy Engineering , and a couple of those places where it was totally unclear what they sold , if anything at all . #shops #declineofthehighstreet #midjourneyphotography #ai
