Lebbeus Woods.
Undercurrents: The Storm / Turbulence Opening: 8 May 2026, 6-8 PM
Undercurrents brings together two projects by Lebbeus Woods—The Storm (2001–2002) and Turbulence (1991–1992)—united by a shared vision of intangible forces acting upon space. Re-presented by A83 in collaboration with the Estate of Lebbeus Woods, they are examples of the conceptual and methodological undercurrents of much of the architect’s work. The exhibition reflects on the continued impact of Woods’ contributions to the field of architecture: his unparalleled abilities to describe, interpret, and labor within complex and often violent cultural and environmental systems.
Lebbeus Woods (1940-2012) was an American architect, architectural theorist and educator, whose home was the Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture at The Cooper Union, New York City. His work is represented in public and private collections including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA); Getty Research Institute, Los Angeles; Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York; MAK – Museum of Applied Arts, Vienna; Tchoban Foundation, Berlin; and M +, Hong Kong.
Publications include Einstein Tomb (William Stout Publishers, 1980), Terra Nova (A + U, 1991), ANARCHITECTURE: Architecture is a Political Act (Academy Editions, 1992), Zagreb Free Zone Revisited (University of Zagreb, 2021); and War and Architecture (1993), The Storm and the Fall (2004), Slow Manifesto: Lebbeus Woods Blog (2015), and Radical Reconstruction (1997) all published by Princeton Architectural Press.
Among other honors, Woods was a recipient of the Arts and Letters Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters.

Inter–Intra–
Princeton SoA Post-Professional Thesis Exhibition
Opening Reception March 27 6pm
March 27 to April 18, 2026
83 Grand St, New York, NY 10013
Inter–Intra– brings together seven architectural theses. The projects approach the discipline as a field of relations rather than isolated events, operating within the tension between the collective (inter-) and the individual (intra-). Through tectonic systems, temporal drawings, imaging interfaces, adaptive environments, and infrastructural fictions, architecture emerges as an active instrument, both inter-locking and intra-locking. Inter–Intra– is treated as provisional, shaped by forces, information, and use. Together, the work frames architecture as a relational practice that mediates between collective inheritance and individual speculation.
The 2026 Post-Professional M.Arch Thesis class includes Elina Chen, Franco Denari, Izak Lee, Kunyue Qi, Carson Voelker, Peipei Wu, and Jade Zhang, and is coordinated by Professor Jesse Reiser with Teaching Assistant Ellen Wong.

A83 Supper Club 02: An Earnest Attempt at Aiding Human Connection Through The Act of Dining | Office of Tangible Space + Chef Maryah Ananda
Last week’s event was designed as a choreography of closeness across scales—how people gather in a space, how furniture encourages interpersonal engagement, and how a single dish can encourage both hands and conversations to meet in the middle. Through a custom seating arrangement, dining surfaces sculpted to the human hand, and moments of collaborative eating, Office of Tangible Space @tangible.space challenged what it means to be together. This spatial experiment was complemented by a multi-course dinner by Chef Maryah Ananda @maryahananda —where each dish serves as both nourishment and prompt—an earnest, sensory attempt to make connection feel a little easier, a little more possible.

Rooted in a belief that design is an ecosystem of interconnected parts, interdisciplinary architecture and design studio Office of Tangible Space resists fixed styles or singular methodologies. Each project is approached as a responsive system-–shaped by context, community, and use-–allowing the studio to work fluidly across scales and disciplines. Through material-forward design, considered detail, and a rigorous yet experimental approach, the work invites curiosity, warmth, play, and connection, fostering a personal relationship between people and the spaces they inhabit.
