Just got back from an unreal experience shooting in Gambela, Ethiopia with this incredible crew. I'm so grateful to AJ for trusting me to shoot B Cam alongside him in as remote a place as I have ever been. Also incredibly thankful for Hilton for trusting me to help Professor Manu document how ancient traditions persist through millenia. Mike Bobino, I don't know how we hadn't worked together before but after I know it won't be the last. And, of course, I gotta give love to Andualem for giving us incredible guidance in what was very unknown territory to most of us. Got to get a glimpse of the cradle y'all, and it was pretty cool

That’s a Wrap! We just completed principal photography for our documentary covering the Kushite Groups of Gambella. This project follows Prof. Manu Ampim (Director of Advancing The Research) as he conducts primary research in the Gambella region of Ethiopia. We travelled to many remote areas of the region to meet with chiefs and elders of the 5 primary cultural groups: the Nuer, the Anuak, the Mejeng, the Komo, and the Opo. We discussed their origins, traditions, and how each group is linked to the civilization of Ancient Kush. This was my first experience working as a producer in the continent of Africa, as well as my first time traveling to Ethiopia. I’m incredibly grateful to our crew for all of their amazing work, as well as everyone who has contributed to the success of this production. Although this portion of the project is done, there is still much more work to do before the documentary is complete.
