Today the Lord has blessed me with another year of life.
In return I will bless you with the trailer to “Dad Manual” a docuseries filmed in Los Angeles, CA apart of @a.creative.house residency. Releasing Father’s Day this year.
In this docuseries you will hear from 13 amazing Black Dads who impart years of wisdom, life lesson and destigmatization of what it means to be a Black father in America. Each one of these men offer valuable teachings that we can all grow and learn from. I’m truly grateful to be able to tell stories such as these and to give a platform for the voices mainstream media often pushes to the side.

While the California heat belted down in July and August, @clairewintle discovered a diverse food culture in LA that she spent her time off from painting enjoying.
Our sixth artist in residence at A Creative House LA is @clairewintle , a recent graduate from the TU art program with a focus in oil painting. Claire’s work explores human and plant anatomy, focusing on similarities in medical procedures for both.
@stephxsimon regularly collaborates and uplifts fellow artists in Oklahoma, through @dreamlandtulsa and @tmcxrecords . It comes as no surprise that he worked closely with colleagues and friends while recording, filming, podcasting, and hosting events in LA. #everythingisus

Steph’s work in LA takes shape through documentary and the writing and recording of a new and yet-to-be released album, “Tulsa King Goes West”. The album was heavily influenced by the culture and experience of Los Angeles including street art, the collaborators he worked with during residency, and exploring the city. #everythingisus
Parker D. Wayne, founder of Oklahoma Fashion Alliance, blends fashion, community, and personal growth into powerful art. In LA, Parker created The Prodigal Son, a performance exploring self-acceptance and empowerment. “Witness yourself, love yourself. Give grace to yourself.”
