we love the bouquet handoff!! it's such a tiny victory moment 😉 we get to surprise our bride & connect & celebrate with her before all the craziness of the wedding day begins. it's my favorite. thanks for capturing this @emilysmithphotography___
we have always tried to use as many locally grown flowers as possible for our weddings! why? it's better for the environment in a number of ways... it reduces the transportation dramatically (did you know your grocery store blooms are probably coming all the way from south america or even holland?!) and it allows us to support small farmers who are focused on reducing waste (because every stem counts!!)
and since the flowers haven't been on a plane, train or automobile for days before i even get them, they will last longer!
last weekend the stars aligned & we were able to source 85% of the wedding from local NC & VA flower farms thanks to the hard work of @findstemz connecting us to these smaller growers. this is my favorite way to do wedding flowers! 🥲
