❉ WORKSHOP ANNOUNCED ❉
Finally! as requested by so many excited about this form— I am teaching this shapeshifting diamond book structure at Spudnik @spudnikpress on May 9th / 10 - 4
◇
This one-day workshop invites participants to learn fundamental bookbinding practices to construct an experimental book form that can be displayed and experienced in multiple ways. We will explore how books can expand, transform, unfold, and occupy space—functioning as both narrative structures and sculptural objects.
◇
Participants will be guided through the development, material exploration, and hands-on construction techniques to create a flexible book form that shifts between states (e.g., flat, dimensional, geometric, or sequential)
◇
No prior bookbinding experience required but encouraged!

Stoked to be guest faculty at Pratt @prattinstitute this summer teaching an intensive:

This intensive provides necessary and practical skills to produce artists’ book and zine editions with the goal of exhibiting and selling work at art book fairs and zine fests around the world. Students will engage in all aspects of book production with an emphasis on experimental fabrication methods to more compellingly engage with the contemporary independent publishing ecosystem. Studio work will be supplemented with field trips, equipment and bookbinding demonstrations, and advisory from currently practicing presses and independent publishers.
⤷
Emphasis will be made to ways artists’ publishing has been used to disrupt convention by means of fostering community and making inclusive spaces for folks historically excluded from the commercial publishing canon writ large.

Can’t think of a better way to kick off the New Year than exhibiting at @indexartbookfair in Mexico City, January 15 — 18🇲🇽
IABF is bringing together independent publishers from all over the world, creating a space for dialogue, reflection, and experimental book works currently in the artist publishing ecosystem
Excited to be showing THUNGRY internationally 🔗🪢
That’s a wrap on fall book fair season! THANK YOU for all the support 🧱 From September to November, THUNGRY exhibited in NYC, Pittsburgh, Detroit, and home court— Chicago. Tabling with other publishers + book makers while meeting so many people who also love books is the heartbeat of a publishing practice— arguably the best part.
THUNGRY will be back at it in January with new titles dropping in 2026 🛼

‘𝘋𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘋𝘰𝘤𝘶𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵’ is an editioned chapbook that touches on a specific form of naming colonization that is used to devalue and invalidate queer + native communities. Our communication is inherently linked to our sense of safety— how it’s used can heal or harm. Naming erasure is a foundational tactic of ongoing colonialism that still exists. This work reflects lived experience while encouraging naming practices that go beyond White settler, heteronormative colonialism.
