Slow Type — workshop 2 in our Design for Print series with Amira Hegazy!
May 17, 12–6pm.
You work with type every day. But have you ever set it by hand? This one slows things way down — letterform anatomy, typographic history, and a hands-on letterpress session that makes abstract principles very concrete.

Thinking Through Color — the first workshop in our Design for Print series with Amira Hegazy!
May 10, 12–4pm.
If you've mostly designed on screen, color in print is a whole different thing. You'll dig into color separation and how inks actually interact — using the Risograph to make visible what's usually invisible in digital workflows.

We said there was too much gratitude for one post — here’s the rest of it.
Sunday we opened the First Annual Chicago and Vicinity Riso Exhibition at Epiphany Center for the Arts. Over 80 artists from Chicago and across the Midwest, all working in riso. It was a really good room.
Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us.
On view through July 4 at 201 S. Ashland.
(Karla Santana: Lotería is also still up at Spudnik through May 30. One great weekend, two shows worth seeing.)
