For this one magic night, artist Alberto Aguilar invited nine Chicago musicians to develop and perform a song based on his jingles in โI just really want to tell you this one thingโ. These short songs, which Aguilar refers to as house music, are inspired by his personal trials, everyday life experiences and observations. They were originally recorded on his phone at the very moment the idea was conceived. By witnessing skilled musicians and sound artists perform their iterations of these everyday jingles into full length songs, the audience will be treated to a form of creative alchemy and metamorphosis.

Artist Talk: Madeleine will share the process behind her multi-disciplinary art practice - including sculpture, music, risograph, and publishing.
Workshop: Design + construct your own wind chime from a collection of found objects + everyday materials.
(wind)chime Jam: Perform, improvise, and collaborate as we play our new instruments together!
Materials will be provided but we encourage you to bring your own found objects well.
