The relocation for this trade association presented a unique opportunity to move away from a darker, enclosed environment and create a brighter, more open workplace that reflects its community-thinking mission. The design is rooted in the association’s deep local connections, inspiring a “storefront” concept at the front of house, where conference rooms are expressed as neighboring facades along a main street.
Natural light from the building’s atrium enhances this welcoming environment, while original Art Deco elements are incorporated throughout to honor the building’s history as the former Greyhound Bus Terminal.

sshape’s design transformed the 8,000 SF footprint into an efficient, open-concept floor plan prioritizing natural light and internal visibility. sshape’s design of JOOLA’s new 30,000 SF HQ seamlessly integrates a retail storefront, a professional pickleball court, and a corporate office into one cohesive brand experience.
The office component prioritizes a dynamic interplay between their vibrant new brand identity and the creation of an engaging space for visitors and athletes, while seamlessly weaving in the rich history of the company and the sport of pickleball. The retail space, JOOLA’s first storefront, focuses on an immersive brand experience, encouraging exploration beyond sales. The professional indoor pickleball court serves as both a high-performance training area for promotional moments and a versatile event venue.
