A residential commission for @zedellepea last summer.
We started with old newspaper headlines looking at Perth’s past. From there I dug up this old Polaroid taken around 2008 showing a reflection of a text work on the windows of a car park next to the Alex hotel in Northbridge and came up with the words for the wall.
The orange line in the background of the mural tracks the use of the word “boring” over time and is paired with an XL print of the Polaroid to fit the space leading out to the balcony.
I have some space open for residential commissions in June. Send me a dm to book in.
Outside / inside. 5 years of poster works with my favourite Australian photographer @jessemarlow who is visiting town this week to run a photo walk and give a talk with @cameraelectronic
If you know what’s good I’ll see you there 👀

My work 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧 is a project in which I take the numbers for public payphones and advertise them on billboards, in newspapers, and on flyers and notice boards around the electorate of Joondalup. The work seeks to utilise these utilitarian structures to provide a chance for people to connect free from our usual echo chambers. A blank slate conversation with a stranger. This is a game you can play yourself. Most public payphones have a number on the little info plaque that you can use to ring the Phonebox and try your luck at someone picking up 📞
This work is on display until Dec 12th at the new city_of_joondalup art gallery.
𝙋𝙝𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙅𝙤𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙥 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙜𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙧𝙮. 2025.
When visiting the gallery for a site visit prior to the art prize I noticed the emergency systems phone boxed into a main display wall labeled “NOT ART”. After several emails and phone calls to a confused supplier I secured a matching phone as the departure point for my invitation art prize work 📞
The show continues until 13th Dec at city_of_joondalup
Futile Gestures continues until the 26th this month at @bragwa . Two digital billboards near the gallery will also be sporadically displaying text provocations on rotating days for the duration of the show.
𝗙𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗚𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 is open at @bragwa . This new series is showing alongside the legendary American conceptual artist John Baldessari’s work 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗹𝗽𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗲𝘁. Following the visual form of grey text with a dark outline on flash cards, the billboards sporadically appear for 30 second intervals in the city centre for the duration of the exhibition, along with documentation of them in the gallery space.
It’s a real dream to show alongside one of my art heroes and a huge thank you to @dionne________ and Mike Bianco for making it possible. The exhibition continues until 26th Oct.
