Last month, my collaborator @joewalton_art and I had the opportunity to present our audio-visual performance ‘The First Movement: Shiva and Shakti’ with @restage.collective at @copelandparkse .
Rooted in Hindu cosmology and expressed through Bharatanatyam, it is a technoshamanic performance that reimagines ancient myth through electronic, rave-inspired soundscapes, tracing the birth of the world through the interplay of Shiva, the still creator, and Shakti, the force of movement. As Shiva creates form without motion and Shakti brings life through rhythm and disruption, their tension mirrors today’s global politics shaped by power and imbalance. The work foregrounds a crucial message: harmony cannot emerge from control or rebellion alone, but from the coexistence of opposing forces, a balance urgently needed for global leaders to recognise.
Grateful to be part of this collective alongside incredibly talented women who each brought their own distinct energy and creativity to the showcase. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came through. To receive the love and support from our community is the entire point.
Thanks to @ventciii for her vision that brought this collective together ✨

Honoured to have been accepted as a delegate for this year’s #CSW70 with @unwomenuk
Each March, women from around the world convene at the United Nations for the largest global gathering on gender equality, helping to shape the future of women’s rights.
This year’s focus on access to justice for women and girls is both urgent and vital, a reminder that while progress has been made, much work remains.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn, contribute, and stand alongside those advancing meaningful change, and I’m committed to bringing more women along on this journey.
With live sessions streamed directly from the UN’s Commission on the Status of Women, a wider audience is invited to join digitally from anywhere in the UK, between 9–19 March 2026.
Small steps, big changes ✨

Meet Shatakshi Singh
Shatakshi Singh is a multidisciplinary designer and emerging filmmaker whose practice bridges digital systems, embodied experience, and feminist storytelling. Trained in Bharatanatyam and rooted in dance from childhood, she treats movement as a universal language shaped by cultural memory and myth. Her performances fuse classical Indian dance, mudras, rhythm, and balance with contemporary movement, EDM, and athletic intensity. In Choreo-graphic Systems, she collaborates with British video jockey Joe to explore the body as interface and archive, creating a techno-shamanic encounter where Bharatanatyam and London rave culture meet through rhythm, sound, and light.
Choreographic Systems: Bodies, Tech and Justice
