Since I was a child, I dreamed of going to Nigeria. Now I’m here and it still feels like a dream. Thanks to all the people welcoming me with open arms, open minds and open hearts. I’m grateful.
A friend once told me there’s a saying that if you want to truly get to know someone, you have to go on a journey with them.
The last year has been a journey for me, that’s how I’ve gotten to know myself more. It’s definitely not over, but I’ve started to see the beauty in learning and understanding myself, like a mosaic made of many small pieces and colors coming together.
I feel stronger than ever because I’ve learned to appreciate my energy and stopped trying to fit in or stay quiet.
I’m excited to see where this journey takes me and happy for anyone who is going with me.
