ÌMÍ 2026 - WHAT REMAINS WHAT RISES Creative Residency Lab I am an interdisciplinary artist and creative wellness practitioner working with sound, movement, visual art, and embodied healing practices. My work explores listening, presence, and inner transformation as creative tools, offering spaces where people can reconnect with themselves through intentional practice. Across my work, I treat art not as object-making, but as a living process - one that shapes how we relate, communicate, and exist with one another. Within the space curated by iMi, I propose a practice rooted in intentional silence. The theme being “Silence is not absence, but full presence”. For the duration of the residency, I will withdraw spoken language from my everyday interactions, shifting my mode of communication toward embodied and intuitive responses. Rather than engaging through words, I will respond through practice - sound, song, movement, drawing, healing gestures, poetry, and ritual action - allowing communication to arise from presence rather than speech. This withdrawal is not an absence, but a refinement. I am interested in how silence sharpens listening: to the self, to others, and to the space itself. Words are powerful tools - once spoken, they shape reality, emotion, and direction. I have come to recognize how easily language is used without care, and how often it creates misalignment or excess. This project is a conscious retreat to discipline my relationship with language, energy, and response. Welcome to ÌMÍ 2026 by Hearts Heartist @hearts_heartist The journey begins here. #imi2026 #whatremainswhatrises #creativeresidencylab #belonging #identity

@tiersnigeria hosted an exhibition to end their 16days of activism I participated in my capacity as an artist and peer educator and exhibited a digital collage on GBV. The process of learning the history, the current reality and projectjion for the stand against gender based violence , abortion laws and access to sexual health and reproductive rights was quiet triggering. So many questions but most of all just wondering why other people repeatedly police women's bodies...especially those that are not women!! The research that went into it just shows that regardless of age, religion, perspective... Men have made themselves women's prime predator and it is heartbreaking because we would all suffer as long as one of us suffers It can never be okay to subject another person to pain It would never be okay to carry on traditions even you frowned upon as a child Loving hands don't give violence Hands that gift do not give violence Hearts that are of love do not spit violence as its answer End gender based violence Stop policing women's bodies Give access to all reproductive rights T for thanks Also that's my sweetest mami precious in the slide....fierce pink warrior of love.
