The Culture Current is a bimonthly series that focuses on celebrating hip-hop and R&B. We will feature some of the dopest talents in the city while spotlighting some of the up and coming artists in the area. Artists can sign up for a chance to be selected for one of the spotlight spots. We feel that everybody should have a chance to share their passion. We aim to spread the word about what’s going on within the culture of RVA and share the good vibes with everybody in our community! Sign-ups are extended until February 4 due to the weather chaos. First off, I moved back home. Richmond’s different lol.
- being social lol so I started going back out to open mics, thank you for the space @antthesymbol
- I created a space for songwriters
- I was on the radio! Such a nice birthday present 🎁 thank you @midatlanticjams
- pushing myself as a writer & got selected to participate in the @mclyte cypher on tour
- being social again lol & opening for @marcbrav0 tour
- new music with the one & only @iamjonquel
- keeping in contact with people I care about @mrryaneaster
- seeing @smino was just amazing, manifesting working together
- a conversation I will forever cherish with Andre Fischer
- lamb meatballs deserve a post because @quapa.queen has started something with the mint & meatball pairing
- my very first portrait that a tourist from London sat & drew while I was in New Orleans busking
- me creating this space for songwriters!
- sunflowers bring joy 🌻
