Welcome to the ‘pretty room’, the lushly decorated space where @objectdensity ‘s new work Proportions of Space was hosted.
‘The Proportions of Space Collection was initially developed during the final months of our time spent in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Conceived in response to our engagement with the landscape, the collection’s form takes queues from the built world of dutch ‘Amsterdamse School’ architecture - flat offset planes, curved features and a heavy use of brick, while the glaze pallet embodied the natural spaces in which we escaped - segmented locations of sea side dune-scape, pine forest and seemingly flat expanses of dusty sky. Glazed using glass-fines, a byproduct of the glass recycling industry, we make use of an otherwise discarded material.’

A heart felt thank you to all those who visited MATTERS. The calm after the storm has us reflecting with warmth and joy on the atmosphere in the building…across the days, into the evenings, and prior to the doors opening.
Thank you to the @ngvmelbourne for all they do for #melbournedesignweek and the design community. We can’t wait to do it again!
With love,
Marlo & Jordan

WOW, What an opening night! Thank you to everyone to visited and made the night so memorable… your enthusiasm for MATTERS is the only drug we need to keep this journey flowing.
…My most memorable moment was having to evacuate some numbers from the first floor so the building didn’t fall apart.
What’s yours!?!
