“I could clearly see that because I had inwardly surrendered each step of the way, no scars were left on my psyche. It had been like riding on water. The impressions only lasted while the events were actually taking place. Yet in the moment of actual experience, each twist and turn had reached deep inside me and forced me past foundational fears and personal boundaries. As long as I was willing to accept the purification power of life’s flow, I kept coming out on the other side a transformed person. How could I consider this a bad experience when it created such beauty and freedom within me? To the contrary, I stand in awe of all that has happened since I started this amazing experiment of acceptance and surrender. One thing is for certain: he who left on this journey never returned. The flow of life had served as sandpaper; that to a great extent, freed me of myself. Unable to unbind myself from the incessant pull of my psyche, in an act of sheer desperation I had thrown myself into the arms of life. From that point forward, all I did was my very best to serve what was put in front of me and let go of what had stirred up within me: joy and pain, success and failure, praise and blame. They all had pulled at what was so deeply rooted within me. The more I let go, the freer I became. It was not my responsibility to find what was binding me- that was life’s job. My responsibility was to be willing to let go of whatever was brought up within me. After seeing all I’d seen over the years, surrender to the flow of life was all that was left of me.” - Michael Singer, the Surrender Experiment

Remembering Mala Sutra.. 1 year later @mala.sutra Malabear was the most kind, intelligent, and beautiful dog. She effortlessly brought joy to everyone in her presence. Many people who were afraid of dogs/ have never pet a dog before would be so excited to see her, hold her, and get to know the true beauty of a dog’s soul. She was a classic Pomeranian with her diva attitude, regal presence, and poofy fluff, but she wasn’t yappy and actually followed orders: My favorite command she mastered was “go say hi.” She would run over to whoever I pointed to, wagging her tail with a huge smile on her face. In her short life, Mala accomplished so much. In addition to all the beautiful friendships she made, Mala hosted yoga trainings, was the Frequency mascot, married Munay Swara and gave birth to the beautiful twins Merlin and Morrigan Samay. I know dogs and their humans are best friends, but Mala truly was my closest companion. She went with me everywhere, as she was small enough to fit in any bag. Whenever I said “get in the bag” she would hop in and we were off to our next adventure. Mala loved visiting the National Parks, waterfall hiking, hanging out on film sets, fine dining, and hotel beds. Her favorite places to visit were Mexico, London, Italy, Spain, Peru, Colombia, Guatemala, and Puerto Rico. While I miss my bestie every day, I know she watches over me and is here with me always, still panting and wagging her tail with her big happy eyes somewhere. I love you my girl and I pray I am blessed enough for our souls to be together one day. You are my family, my heart, and the true love of my life. Thank you for making my life so beautiful, fun and full of love. My sweet girl.

When in Rome…. Life has a way of showing you that it’s the simple things that bring that most satisfaction: time with loved ones, delicious and nourishing food, perfect weather with a touch of sunshine and a gentle breeze, being immersed in beauty and taking the time to watch and appreciate… True seeing is not just ingesting with the eyes- it’s multisensory perception. Gentle moments slowed with intention to savor the now. I appreciate Italy because it reminds me of my one true love - Mexico. The warmth of the people, fresh delicious food shared with loved ones, double cheek kisses, red/white/green flag, a relaxed pace, uncomplicated beauty, and the feeling you are living inside of a poem. Thank you for the love and beautiful memories @annettedordoni and Happy Birthday. It is a gift to celebrate life with you.

Rocket 🚀 Yoga Training lvls 1+2 w @davidckyle México City, March 2025 when your spirits need a lift, think of the virtues and talents of those around you – ones energy, another’s modesty, the generosity of a third, something else in a fourth. Nothing is so inspiring or uplifting as the site of these splendid qualities in our friends. Keep them always in mind. - Marcus Aurelius

Mala Sutra (08/05/12-02/07/25) This morning my best friend, angel on earth, and true love of my life passed over the rainbow bridge to her next incarnation. For those of you who knew Mala, you understand how joyous, sweet, friendly and life-loving she was. My only real guru, Mala taught me by the example how to relax and enjoy the ride with a smile. My favorite thing was watching her light up each and every room she entered. The littlest baby with the biggest presence. Mala was a diva, a mother, a wife, a world traveler, a yogi, and an ascended master. Her love and companionship was the biggest blessing I have ever received in my life. Her tiny paws, her little face, her Poof-ness, her perfect nose… Mala passed over the night, snuggled by our foster dog Snoop, next to my head on the couch. Her little body was suffering over the past few months as her eyesight was gone, and her bones so frail. Please keep Mala alive by sharing your favorite memories of her with me, and sending any pics if you have them. I know she is in a better place and will continue to live on through her babies Merlin and Morrigan. @mala.sutra @thepackmaha
