After 8 months of experimenting I finally debuted my ambient/downtempo liveset made specifically for @lightofmidnight_ last weekend
1.5hrs of improvised pads, textures & beats (honestly i could’ve kept going a lot longer) a unique performance like nothing i’ve done before 🥲🥲 So happy with how it came together and everyone’s reaction - a full room with me on the journey the whole way
This set began from winter of 2025, i made a lot of downtempo and started curating them together, it was designed (originally) to be permanent. A setup more bordering on art sculpture with generative audio, but as the event changed so did my intentions for this set. Flexibility was a huge goal, having the freedom to improvise and take the set to different places, depending on the mood or feel of the room.
There was a little bit of live synthesis, a touch of live sequencing & programming and fully live arrangements, what the machines were doing at any given point was dictated, how I used them to craft different sections was where the fun was.
Honoured to be able to share this with everyone who came along 🫶🫶 My cup was well and truly filled
