Here's the making of the painting I've named 'Residue'.
It began a month ago and has been an exploration into how my relationships (past & present, all kinds) have shaped my psyche. I was invited to show some art in an exhibition on love and have poured hours into finishing it over the last few days.

I recently had the honour of creating this portal painting for a beloved friend. The task was to mark a significant transition for them, and it felt right to describe the light and shadow of that threshold. I hope it can continue to live beyond its moment of creation as a tool and emblem.

I really enjoyed working with a more subdued palette and might lean into the muddy taupe, ecru, ochre, etc. for future paintings.

The entire weekend was steeped in creativity, connection and playfulness.

Inspired by the names of the paint colours I selected, the meaning unfolded as i worked and this title became suitable.
Linking together to create a robust chain, moving in cycles around the sun, rising each year to connect and grow and play.
This mural was enriched with fun new tools from @k_n_o_c_k , wonderful plant facts from @the_spore_print_collective , law and lore discussions with @delisnack.art , and the badass company of the best sister a girl could dream of @twelveby.twelve

Its always pretty special getting to celebrate the end of a messy year alongside my friends who keep inspiring, supporting and pushing me. But this time was in a league of its own.
@tanglewood_festival has grown into something really special over the years. I am lucky to have been here for the journey so far- this festival has built me and my work into what it is today.

Thanks to everyone who picked up a peice of my work in the gallery this year! It was so cool getting to meet a few of you and im glad to be making art that connects with such a variety of individuals.
I guess ill be back next year for continuity and doing a decade of anything is pretty epic.
