10 months ago I was lying in bed after surgery on my foot watching contest live streams. That was the mentally the roughest times of my life. I was mainly hurting inside that I was missing contests because competing is what I live for but it was also hard not to think about if I would be the same rider when I came back. For the past 10 months I’ve worked harder than I’ve ever worked for anything in my life. So to be where I am and get this win and secure the 5 peat in my first contest back is truly a special feeling. This is what I live for❤️‍🔥

LAO 2026 🇩🇪❤️ shot by @chrislehnert @_liquidframes & @krausetv 📸 Still trying to realize what this weekend actually was… I got to ride at LAO — Langenfeld Open — with 60 of the best wakeboarders in the world. And being the youngest rider at the whole event made it even crazier. Last year - 2025 - was my first LAO… 2 falls. Quick exit. This year I came back smarter, calmer and way more prepared… And for the first time at LAO I landed both runs all the way to the end 🤍 Heat 6 was insane! 🤯 @whoislukeholmes , @isaiczclaudio , @ethanmarston03 , @yann.sassa and my teammate & very good friend @lauwersemiel all were lit 🔥 … Riders I respect and look up to! I ended up 5th in my heat but that was not what it was about. What made this weekend really special were all the moments around the riding. Getting compliments from riders from all over the world. Talking and hanging out with people I used to only watch on Instagram. The team of @liquidforcewake personally telling me they’re proud of my progress. That honestly meant so much to me. One of the coolest moments was hearing @prestonpersichetti and @isaiczclaudio say how much I improved since last year. Moments like that give me even more motivation to keep pushing. Also huge respect to my coach & teammate @berghe33 for making the final 16 after 5 LAO appearances ❤️ And @nanou.lenaers getting 4th at her very first LAO is just insane 🤯 This weekend was more than a contest. It felt like living inside the dream for a few days. Huge thank you to @wasserski_langenfeld for inviting me to be part of this incredible event. Also big thanks to @unit_parktech , @nissandeutschland , @followbrand.co and of course @liquidforcewake for supporting the sport and making events like this possible. And extra thankful for @liquidforcebelgium and @lakeside.paradise for believing in me and supporting me on this journey for so many years already ❤️ Thankful for every single person supporting me. Another year down for the books 📚 First round I didn’t make it through and didn’t ride my best, but was still hoping for the wild card! I ended up getting the wild card and went against @gatti_leonardo in the round of 16 and getting my first heat win ever at LAO! I am beyond stoked about that, and with winning that heat I went against @gavinstuckey in the round of 8. In that heat, I think I rode my best I have ridden all trip but it wasn’t enough to go through to the finals. But I am still super stoked about my finish, I can’t be mad about losing to one of my great friends basically a brotha from another motha. I am super grateful for this experience and can’t wait till next year! Thank you to @wasserski_langenfeld for putting the contest on, thank you @liquidforcewake for everything you guys have done for me, much appreciated! Last but not least thank you to my parents for making sure everything is possible, wouldn’t be here without yall, love you guys so much❤️
