A slight rearrangement
14 May - 17 May 2026
The floor resists and records, the pillar shifts. Movements and obstructions reorients the body in familiar space. Materials and bodies converse in ways that are both felt and seen. Unfolding a living constellation of touch, sight and sound. Each step reveals how materials negotiate presence and attention. The work emerges only through this subtle, shared engagement.
Be welcome to visit the exhibition during Antwerp Art Weekend, every day from 12pm to 6pm.

Pleased to introduce artisanal crafted garments by @akaritachibana
„I was raised in a rural mountain village of 800 people in Tenkawa, Japan. Home to Benzaiten, a Shinto shrine dedicated to the Indian goddess of music Saraswati, Tenkawa is an incredibly sacred place. With my father working as a calligrapher at a mountain-top temple and my mother’s family running a small shop selling uniforms for monks, among other religious and medicinal goods, I was surrounded by people on spiritual pilgrimage. Baggy, practical, and easy to move in, the traditional garments they wear are fastened with ties rather than zippers. I always admired their simple style, free from unnecessary adornments, so when I began making clothing of my own, I found great inspiration in this time-honored attire.“
Three tie jackets and caps made from vintage plaid fabrics are available
„These plaid fabrics were made on Chongming Island, located northeast of Shanghai, using pure cotton, dyed with natural materials such as indigo and madder, and woven on handlooms. Most of them were made in the 1960s-1980s. The cloth was made in each household in that area and passed down through generations as an integral part of daily life, but now these traditions are gradually being lost.“
