Once mainly something that existed in a live setting, the group drifts further into its own orbit with a second collection of songs. What began as a collaboration between two voices (Ferre & Benjamin) now expands with the presence of a third (Geraldine), adding new layers that sometimes verge on something almost familiar. Ferre sings through the songs like he’s looking for an exit and having a great time not finding it. Somewhere in there, a flute appears: it sounds slightly worried about the bassline. abseite ambient geht am 16.05. in die nächste Runde! Dieses mal mit: W/ORGAN (Experimental-Quartett, Köln/Dortmund/Den Haag/Brüssel) ...ist ein aus vier Künstler:innen bestehendes Projekt aus Köln, Dortmund, Den Haag, Brüssel und interessiert sich für die Verbindung zwischen Architektur und Klang, weshalb das Quartet nicht auf einer "normalen" Konzertbühne auftritt, sondern auf die besonderen akustischen Herausforderungen des jeweiligen Ortes reagieren möchten. Zwei Beispiel hierfür sind die St. Gertrud Kirche in Köln und die Brüderkirche in Lippstadt. Das Projekt richtet sich an ein offenes Publikum, welches an genreübergreifenden Konzerten interessiert ist und die Verschmelzung von Ambient, Folk, experimenteller Musik und akustischen Installationen in einzigartigen, akustisch herausfordernden Räumen erleben möchte. Während des Konzerts ist das Publikum eingeladen, sich in dem Kirchenraum angemessen zu bewegen, um verschiedene akustische Erfahrungen zu machen. Aufgrund der besonderen Architektur ermöglicht das Bewegen im Raum, unterschiedliche Perspektiven / Hör-Erlebnisse, die Stücke werden je nach Position des Besuchers unterschiedlich erlebt. Der Auftakt der RESONANT SPACES findet am 15. Mai 2026 in der St. Gertrud Kirche in Köln statt. Im Anschluss, am 16. Mai wird das Projekt in Lippstadt in der Brüderkirche fortgeführt. Danke für die wunderschönen Konzerte, danke an alle, die gekommen sind – erst mal gibt es eine kleine SLOWROOM-Komzertpause. Überbrückt wird die Pause mit dem SLOWROOM RADIO und einem Hinweis in eigener Sache: ich spiele mit meiner Band @motherbeardoom am 30.05. die Releaseshow für unsere LP „ORM 2“ in der Hirsch Q in Dortmund und dafür haben wir zwei SLOWROOM-Artists am Start: Last Days of Burden wird den Abend eröffnen und unser Set wird von Dennis Stotakoj alias prask! eingeleitet! Zur Feier des Tages hat Host @florian.m.grass alias @dispens_music die Brüseler Musikerin Geraldine Vanspauwen alias La Zza Ro sowie den Kölner Experimentierfreund Graneg Sandpapier zu Gast im mono. 📅 MI 28.05.2026 ⏰ Einlass 18:30h / Konzertbeginn 19:30h 🎫 Eintritt frei, Spenden gern gesehen! 🏠 @monodortmund ⚫ @la.zza.ro ist eine Sängerin und Multi-Instrumentalistin, die sich an der Schnittstelle zwischen Klangkomposition und intuitivem Songwriting bewegt und die Schnittpunkte zwischen abstrakter Poesie, rohem Noise und experimentellem Folk erkundet. Geleitet von einer tiefen Liebe zu intimen Tonbandaufnahmen, Looping-Techniken, ätherischen Stimmen, greifbaren Texturen und verstimmten Klangwelten, webt sie lyrische Klangwelten mit traumähnlichem Reiz. Derzeit tritt sie sowohl solo (Kassetten, Streichinstrumente, Tasteninstrumente, Gesang) als auch mit den Bands Zemlya (Schlagzeug, Orgel, Gesang) und Sergeant (Gitarre, Gesang) auf und moderiert die monatliche Radiosendung „Unburdened Bones“ auf Kiosk Radio. ⚫ @sandpappell Selbstentwickelte Synthesizer und andere Effekte sind die Grundlage für das Bühnenprogramm von Graneg Sandpapier, einer Kunstfigur, die seit 2018 kontinuierlich weiterentwickelt wird. Bei den Auftritten werden neben diesen Geräten, im Raum gespannte Stahlseile mit Bogen und eine halbakustische Gitarre mit Pianohämmern bespielt. Umrahmt von gefundenen Gegenständen wie Steinen, Grashalmen oder gecrashten Schlagzeugteilen entstehen mit Hilfe von Samples Klanglandschaften die an maschinenartige Drones oder flirrende Insektenschwärme erinnern. Durch Spracheinlagen (live oder sample) wird auf gesellschaftliche Themen reagiert, jedoch keine Lösung geboten. Alles ist improvisiert, folgt Mustern und ist jedes Mal anders. Er lebt in Köln.

What began as a collaboration between two voices now expands with the presence of a third, adding new layers that sometimes verge on something almost familiar. The work continues to explore a method that feels less like collecting from the outside and more like rearranging from within. Fragments are taken apart and reassembled: rhythms, echoes, remnants of recognizable forms. This time, there is a stronger sense of movement, though it never quite settles. The vocals wander through it all, as if searching without urgency to arrive. At unexpected moments, other sounds surface briefly, then disappear again. The whole seems to find comfort in its own instability. The titles exist somewhat independently, like small pieces that don’t fully explain themselves. In that distance, they open up space for interpretation. There’s a quiet suggestion of meaning, but nothing fixed. Language itself feels uncertain—questioned, reshaped, exchanged. The work circles around ideas of expression and relevance without resolving them, touching lightly on themes that resist being stated directly. The result feels suspended between places, moods, or states—never entirely grounded. There’s a sense of contrast throughout, as if different impulses coexist without needing to agree. If it seems out of step at times, it may simply be following a rhythm of its own. Difficult to pin down, more immediate in experience than in description. It recalls unlikely combinations and shifting textures—at once playful, disoriented, and quietly precise. spring/summer 26 - The Doves Ascended The angel doves acted to this dangerous play by collecting charms, closely stocked between their feathers. The humming of the birds still reminds us of these warming efforts opening way for connection rather than chains. The good kind of chains : charms worn closely to the bodily senses sealing an honest moment of exchange. Now remember… (the doves ascended) that angels bear witness to their travelling instead of remains.
