Beautiful experience to be in the oceans on both coasts of the US within 24hrs. Got to share my first Pacific experience with one of my very best friends, too! Grateful for every opportunity to do what I love with great people 🙏💙
These are the students I started with 4 years ago at Rider. It was such an honor to sit on stage and watch them cross this major milestone in their lives. Sharing their college years with them has been the most fulfilling thing I’ve ever experienced.

Katz, KatzAzz, Kat Kat, Skooch… Kathy was more than my aunt. She was like my big sister. When I was little, we fought like siblings. Her husband BD would be mind-blown; “you’re arguing with a child.” 😂
She showed me all kinds of music that expanded my mind & informed my taste in a big way. She was so proud when I came back to some of the R&B stuff later in life that she showed me when I was a little kid. One of my favorite recent memories is singing Erykah Badu with her in the car on the way to get some food. Music was always blasting in her car & she was always singing. She had a great voice, & some of my favorite memories with her are in the car with the music bumping & the windows down.
We would fake box/wrestle & pick on each other constantly. That was our love language. The last thing I said to her on the day she passed was “DAMN you’re ugly.” She responded how she always did when we talked: “you’re ugly & your mama dresses you funny.” Then she added “No — your wife dresses you funny now!”
Kathy was BEYOND excited about our wedding. She called Ang “Angelina Jolie” & absolutely adored her. She smiled so big the whole weekend, & couldn’t stop talking about how happy she was (as if you couldn’t see it on her face).
She always made her presence known. She always told you exactly what she felt. She loved big — she was unwavering in her loyalty & fiercely protective of her friends & family.
We had a special bond, and I will be forever grateful for that. I’ll always remember how special she made me feel. That was her gift. Everyone in her life had a nickname. You never left a room she was in without a belly laugh. She remembered everyone’s stories. She got that from her mom, my grandmother. They’re up there smiling down on everyone, cracking jokes & enjoying the stories from lives lived to the fullest.
It still doesn’t feel real that she’s gone. I’ll miss her “birthday beatings” and calls; always one of the first. Her excitement to get together. To call and catch up. Beating up on each other before laughs & hugs with “I love you”s. & I’ll miss that hilarious little voice she would do: “mE lOvE u LoNg TiMe” … me too, Kat Kat. Always.

Deeply grateful for the balance found in 2025. Best year yet! • Married the love of my life & traveled with her lots • Released original music • Created a college travel course & ran it successfully • Spent lots of time with family & friends • Recorded from home & played some great gigs •
Lots of goals for 2026! I have a long list of people I want to play with in Philly, NYC, Nashville, & beyond. More bandleading live & in the studio. Helping students get into the industry. Aiming for a similar life balance + more gigs & recording in the new year — on the hunt for a regular gig; maybe even a tour? 👀 Putting it out in the universe & doing the work to make it happen 🙏💙
Most importantly, looking forward to spending more time with the amazing people in my life & meeting new ones!
