These shows served as an example of so many of the things that can go wrong, they are no more. Good riddance but I'm thankful to have learned from them! There are stories behind every track here. my baile funk mix from earlier this month is up on soundcloud & youtube 🔗 website linked in bio, has the links to accounts this was a great pair of shows! #1 was 4/24/26, outside callz hosted by @feralkickz (which was mainly just me organizing for this show) & @clubprizmatiq , it was a beautiful night in the woods with a unique schedule, each DJ given 2 timeslots, 30 minutes each. My first set was a bit more of the breaks & experimental stuff Im most comfortable with, & my second set was baile funk only. #2 was 5/2/26 at Kelly's Olympian, I expanded upon the baile funk set and tried fitting a bunch of new tracks I found as well. Was nervous about it fitting in with the primarily hyperpop lineup but it seemed to work. been really loving digging into baile funk, primarily music from São Paulo, Brazil. I tried to stick only to productions from Brazilian local producers as that is where the genre originated & it felt the most interesting to dig through it that way (there are a lot of producers from other parts of the world inspired by the baile funk style currently) full tracklist posted in the description of post the youtube & soundcloud uploads, had a lot of folks asking for it :) glad it made an impact! Thank you to everyone who got footage of my set that I used here, & all those who danced and played and enjoyed those two nights. 3.30.26 femtanyl portland afterparty beautiful and wholesome show. performed some new, slower sung material as folks sat down. Then the energy shifted with the higher energy dance music, circles formed, folks played with plushies and played guitar hero on the consoles in the back. The energy in the room was great. It was an honor getting to throw this show with @feralkickz and the many volunteers n friends who helped make it happen.
