We both been down here over 20 years— fun to work on a project together, have quite a few 🍻, try to capture what it felt like throughout those times.
If you know me well, we shot some scenes at some of my all time favorite spots. And some that are not so much our favorite. But were very Lynch Black Lodge/ Roadhouse-y and looked good.
Something also to note. We actually shot this video for a different song, but decided it went better with Gentle Tone.
We shot a couple more scenes to fill in the gaps, which also gave me time to layer and experiment a little more. Was a beautiful process, and to me the music really feels like the video. 💘💘

We took this at the hot pot spot I was with my Korean brothers and I believe I entered Tha Dragon. Shoutout them times when my cousins would take me to the movies to watch Romeo Must Die, or Rush Hour, or play a lot of Dru Hill etc. it was a tiny Honda civic and we would fit like 8 people in there. They always had their girlfriend or boyfriend in the car and I was the young one witnessing, tagging along. I remember the smell of all the colognes mixed together and the girls crunchy hair from all the gel, spray, mousse.
