Angels walk on land sometimes,
they dream,
they love,
they open your eyes to heaven in the here and now;
call it an island.
Jamaican girl,
every time I come around,
I change worlds,
and minds too š

Use what you have to do what you can until you can do better.
Mental healing is a journey. The process feels like building muscles or stamina in the gym; awkward, uncomfortable, strenuous, and at times confusing.
If you can relate to this then you maybe you know that the hardest part is when the mask falls off. When youāre unable to push through to get through, when being strong and putting on your game face is suffocating. Every one needs a safe place to unravel, can we try being that for ourselves first?
The February version of me in this video looks different from the April of myself, because I took the mask off. I decided to get up again, for me and to do things in a better and healthier way.
The tips I share, the stories, blog posts, poems, artwork, those are all avenues of the transformation process.
The healing.
The creation and recreation of me.
My mental health and wellness journeys were the catalyst for the creation of @_mindartja formerly known as Eunoia, and my business venture @_nachami . I needed somewhere to transform the pain I experienced and turn it into beauty, into structure, into art.
Iām no longer afraid to be seen trying. Watch me work, watch me grow, and know that this is all for the little girl in me who needed this, all of it.
There is more and better here already, so I trust and believe that my elevation is coming too.
Letās go! šš½šāØ

Wellness update:
If we donāt take care of our health now, then when will we?
Exercise helps your brain function well, but it also asks you to be present in your body. When your mind and body are connected in a healthy way, there is so much more you can feel, think, and do.
Make the time to exercise. Even if it feels mundane. The hardest part is showing up. The rest is easy.
After an on and off beginning this year, Iām grateful to put more energy back into my fitness routine.
Letās see how much Iāll grow this round.

Stop being Jamaican?
Nah. Never. I always love seeing this wall/door on the Edna Manley College campus.
To me this translates to: Be confident. Be audacious. Be bold! The arts need that type of energy.
Check out the CAG(e) Exhibition at @emcvpasva and give these students their full respect and support. The techniques, re-creations of Jamaican culture and popular art culture through a Iamaican lens inspired me in ways Iām excited to share.
Look at the reimagining of the woman with the pearl earring with a bandana head scarf, cowrie shell earring and beautiful brown skin and eyes? I can see this in a living room or family room, because it will start conversations.
The Pitchy Patchy piece made me squeal! The movement, the colours, the shapes, all made me even more desirous of a reemergence of Jonkunnu. It took a while for me to realize that itās a digital print/painting, but this is a fun piece that I had a lot of fun observing.
When I tell you that these drawings are so detailed that they look like photographs, I mean these drawings are so detailed they look like photographs.
That Koffee piece? BAD! ššš½
Iām always pleased to see anime, manga, fairytale, dystopian inspired pieces as well. Jamaicans deserve to dream and be whimsical. Not every piece needs to reflect a sociopolitical perspective. We can feel joy, happiness, intrigue, and dream of running with fairies in the meadows too. (I think we invented that, but do not quote me! I have no sources to support that claim lol)
Art is always better in person, so please, do guh see. Sign the book when you do. Buy a painting, sculpture or two.

Remember how Iāve spoken about the duality of life and living?
This visit happened during a week where things felt like they were falling apart. I could not see how they were coming together just yet, so this experience came at a better time than I had planned.
Someone also complimented me that I should have fan art/artwork made of me and I receive it! lol. I loooove seeing the different ways people interpret the same subject. It is inspiring, sometimes humbling, but definitely a beautiful experience.
If you recognize any of the artworks here please comment below. If youāve been to the @emcvpasva CAG(e) Art Exhibition please let me know what you thought about it.
I kept saying āwow!ā at each new piece š¤.

Yes, Iām back on the pageant scene for Miss Supranational Jamaica 2026! šš¤āØ
There will be a coronation this year to decide the new titleholder to represent us in Poland in July.
Iām grateful for all the love, encouragement, tips, and support youāve shown me throughout this time.
What should my hashtag be so you can follow along this journey?

(The voiceover was BTS but it matched too perfectly with this. No, I couldnāt hear anything that while we recorded this clip. š¤)

Then life started loving me back, but it always did, I wasnāt open to it as yet.
Thatās the tricky thing about depression and anxiety. Thatās the messed up part about experiencing sexual assault or trauma. They change you in ways that make you shrink in hopes that you will forget. If you forget what happened then maybe the pain will leave you as well, but the body keeps the score. Sure, new experiences come and life lifts you up, but you know how bad a fall can be so you bristle, panic, ponder, hyperventilate for everything. On edge. No one out rightly chooses a bad thing or bad person. They masked their intentions and now you make your light because all the feedback said you shine too brightly and that why you couldnāt tell the difference between a diamond and a spade. Call it what it is, manipulation. Coercion. Rape. Name the act. Shame the perpetrator. As for me, I did what could be done. Heās blocked. No access to me and mine anymore. How barefaced is it to search for someone you bullied, assaulted, and tried to manipulate after they walked away? Iām only human. Of course Iām tempted to return the hurt and pain back to the sender, but this is my life. I wonāt spend another moment shrinking because of him or her or whoever.
Will it be easy? No, but Iāve made up my mind. It has to work out. This is my second chance at living; there is no other option but for things to work out well for me.
This time Iām doing it for me.
Enjoy the backstory.
Things are about to get even more interesting. ššÆš²
