Art heals and so does nature. ☀️🌱
Sometimes touching grass isn’t an option, but we can let the sun kiss us for a few minutes each day to release happy chemicals in our bodies and minds.
Call it people-synthesis or brainy-synthesis 🤭💚✨
(Wellness-synthesis! 🙌🏽🤭)
Let’s try it more often this month.
If it works, come back and share your wellness experience in the comments.

A gentle reminder to allow yourself to feel gratitude for how you were made and the life that you hold now.
You are allowed to be a “masterpiece and a work in progress” at the same time. Though the quote is not ours, the sentiments are shared.
Can you think back to a time you felt joy?
When was the last time you complimented yourself?
That thing you did that was a challenge before, celebrate the fact you improved!
It is throwback Thursday and we’re here to remind you to remember to exercise an attitude of gratitude. Yes, things fall, fail, or simply cause us pain, but after acknowledging the truth of how we feel, make room for thankfulness too. 💚✨

“It’s a beautiful day to be alive!”
Can we make room for Mental Health Awareness Week?
Can we make room to meet up with people and hang out with friends, and loved ones so we can build together, this week, this month?
We shared some of the things we did alone and in community so far to bring us together. Community is important. Show up. Your next phase of healing could be a hug, laugh, cry, or presence away.
Can we make time to be together this week?
Yes, yes I think we can.
💚✨

It takes a village to make it work, but only one person needs to care enough to start.
Thank you to everyone who assisted Mind Art in 2025 as we grow our support and awareness campaign of mental wellness through art therapy with Bellevue Hospital.
Please support their work and philanthropic activities as we all grow and develop to advance the welfare of the whole human race.

Depressed? Try dancing the sadness away!
Dance is a healthy way to express yourself and boost mental wellness. The physical aspect paired with music and socialization makes this option a joyful experience. In Dance Movement Therapy it’s a great tool for those who are less verbally expressive and struggle with social isolation. The good thing about dancing is that it is free to do and available for everyone. As we seek to create more accessible therapy resources for our people, let’s remember the options we have within our reach right now.
- visual arts: sketch, scribble, paint, colour, draw, break something down and rebuild it, get your hands dirty and mold something with clay or paper maché to express what cannot be out in words.
- dance: move, groove, and swing along or with others to ease the tension anxiety created in the body and to release happy hormones to keep depression away.
- music: curate playlists that support your self expression and boost your mindset. At times we need a good cry and other times we need motivation to try again. Music is another tool that we’ve used for many years to help us live our healthiest lives.
- journal: if there is no one to talk to or who would understand, writing down your thoughts and emotions and experiences can help you to relieve the cloudiness in your mind and give your some distance to see things from a different perspective.
Try these accessible wellness tips and let us know in the comments the last time you used these to improve your mental wellbeing.

Thank you!
None of this is possible without your continued support.
Will we see you next?

A wellness tip we like to share over here on Mind Art Ja is using the arts to express deep emotions, experiences, and relieve traumas. Even though talking about it is helpful, we don’t always have the words to communicate our pains.
The beauty of this tip is that you don’t need to be going through a rough time to use it. We naturally use it every day.
Try it nuh! Tag us when you do.

Do you need an umbrella for the storm in your mind?
How about the burden on your heart?
A shoulder to lean on during the trials of life?
Try therapy.
You deserve some help.
