this one was a real labour of love, no pun intended. when i first heard the vocals for the song i was taken aback,
@dubbul_o came with something introspective, honest and real and i had to try to take the music to that same place. it took a while but we couldn’t be happier with where it landed. sometimes it can be therapy to just lay everything out on the table.
once we had this track finished we knew it deserved a video. with the track in mind i knew exactly who to ask to direct it. i was a bit skeptical as to whether or not
@marcingham would want to do it but fortunately he was just as excited to get involved with it as we were to work with him. marc brought the same thoughtfulness and care to the visuals that myself and dubbul had put into the music. saying we love the video would be an understatement, we’re sure you’ll all know what we mean once you’ve seen it too.
of course, one man can’t do everything and the video wouldn’t have been possible without everyone else involved. once again
@_danncooper was our dop, he kills it every time and we love working with him, he makes us look so much better than we do in real life haha.
@ian_mclaughlin_ came on board to edit this one, again showing that same level or care and thoughtfulness that we did for the song, he was full of ideas and brought an incredible sense musicality and emotion to the edit. we were also buzzing to have this video colour graded once again by the ultra talented
@paulwillis_colour it’s always an amazing moment to see the finished product after he adds his touch and takes everything to another level. on the day of the shoot we also had the
@arcforty boys
@kencarsxn and
@joel_robd as camera assistant and gaffer respectively, it was our first time working with them and they smashed it, massive thanks again lads! as always, graphics by
