Never refuse a night out that might itches you ~ dispari pairs label artist Gavsborg of Jamaican collective Equiknoxx Music with the freewheeling crew Cloud Management – both of whom previously joined forces on dispari003, a double-sided 7-inch that dives deep into dub’s endless possibilities. Come over for DJ sets by Chrirstopher Zielske @_christopher_z and Dialog mit der Jugend @mtk.mtkv , a music intervention by Emol @insta_counterproduct and a live performance by Till Hormann @till_m.hormann , whose second EP just dropped on BBJTC. The next edition of our Panorama event series is around the corner! On Thursday, 4 September from 6 pm, you can look forward to a hypnotic live performance by the group Cloud Management [@cloud_mngmnt ], whose style ranges from slow dub jams to psychedelic neo-Kraut. Before and after, an eclectic DJ set by record collector and Plattenrille owner Christopher Zielske [@_christopher_z ] invites visitors to linger. For Panorama, the Kunsthaus stays open longer on the first Thursday of every month, and our foyer becomes the stage for a changing music programme conceived by Nguyen Phuong-Dan [@phu0ngdan ]. Cold drinks are available at the bar and our current exhibition is accessible free of charge: In September, the anniversary-project Printer's Proof – 100 Years of griffelkunst invites you to learn more about the traditional technique of woodblock printing. Look at that ~ Travelling At The Speed Of Time with Museum Of No Art is ready to roam ~ take your time and go to bandcamp, listen close to speed up! @museumofnoart @t_e_o_t_h @senufoeditions @phu0ngdan @_dispari_ @tk_boomboompow Only a clarinet sings – minimal, quivering, wavering. Breathing mad notes in the cracks between notes, weaving a dazed, fuzzy kind of magic. The latest recordings by Museum of No Art are tripping – floating in suspense, somewhere out in the irrational corners of the world inhabited by the haunted elegance of Ben Bertrand or Bernhard Herrmann. But still, entirely her own – a quiet revolt of classical clichés in search of a new dawn for lunatic woodwinds. She sings through her instrument and it sings to her. It carries her, and she lets it. A distinctive timbre tumbling through tonal fog. Four freely formed compositions for dispari. One petite and tempting. Two mid-length wanderers – teetering, wobbling. And one epic piercer. All drifting in inspiring airs. Ephemeral, nebulous, fragile, like the desolate candy snowman, melting on a warm tongue, threatened with complete dissolution. Fleeting like a stolen glimpse of the intimate curve of an anonymous stranger’s neck. ML
