Project Completion // St. Clare, Kew
Located at 3 Fernhurst Grove, Kew, St. Clare is a 1.4-hectare premium retirement living precinct developed by VMCH, where two heritage mansions have been restored to their former glory and transformed into shared resident spaces, alongside the construction of four new apartment blocks housing 104 luxurious residences with five-star facilities.
Within the heritage buildings, our team restored roof framing, fully constructed dormers, reframed heritage stairs, installed subfloor framing, before completing internal feature hardwood door jambs, doors, and custom hardware, skirting, architraves, and bullnosing. Being part of the restoration with such high-end detail really showcased the craftsmanship of our exceptional team of carpenters.
Across the four new apartment buildings, Casello constructed the mansard-roof trusses and delivered the internal carpentry fit-out on each level, including the supply and installation of fire-rated, feature, and timber doors, skirtings, and custom door and sanitary hardware. In the pavilion and shared amenity spaces, our team constructed subfloor framing, installed architectural veneer wall panelling in the residents’ lounges and dining spaces, and delivered feature metal-clad ceilings, with sanitary and hardware installations throughout the luxe amenities.
This was a great project to deliver, with the quality of craftsmanship and materials evident throughout.

Project Complete // Frankston Hospital
The Frankston Hospital redevelopment has officially opened as Peninsula University Hospital, marking the completion of one of the largest health infrastructure developments in Victoria’s south-east.
Casello is proud to have installed the external cladding for the new Emergency Department. Our team supplied and installed 410 linear metres of Tempio terracotta square baguettes over the emergency signage, integrated with Tempio terracotta cladding.
Additionally, Casello installed 472 m² of Zintl castellated cladding to the low level Emergency Department facade. Including 3mm powder-coated solid aluminium cladding trims to window reveals, soffits and door openings, with all systems fixed over an engineered top-hat framing system to meet durability requirements.
Executing these works within a live hospital environment meant managing site access and safety constraints. Our expert team coordinated the installation around active emergency services, ensuring the project was completed without disrupting hospital operations.
The cladding is just one part of Casello’s on-site involvement, having also delivered the project-wide internal carpentry and FFE. We look forward to seeing the hospital in full operation as it begins serving the Peninsula community.
Stay tuned for the final unveil as we share more on the carpentry soon.

At State Library Station, part of Melbourne’s new underground Metro Tunnel, over 4,573 m2 of stainless steel, anodised, and powder-coated aluminium were designed, fabricated, supplied, and installed. The scope included stainless steel escalator cladding and perforated soffits, anodised and powder-coated wall and walkway linings, door reveals, trims, capping plates, acoustic ceiling panels, and extensive carpentry works - all 3D-modelled, surveyed onsite, and installed to precise tolerances.
Delivering this package required navigating the complexities of an underground environment, coordinating extensive design development, and managing challenging logistics to move large-format materials through restricted access points. 45 of Casello’s tradespeople contributed their technical expertise, safety excellence, and teamwork to deliver one of the most technically sophisticated and impactful infrastructure projects in Victoria’s history. The scale, depth, and urban logistics of the Metro Tunnel make it a standout project, demonstrating the capability of our in-house workforce to perform at the highest level.
