Working on the Congolese story of Mwindo was a rich experience in big part because of the powerful vocals brought in by Fatuma (@verified_datuu ) and Benedict. Here's a snippet showcasing just how powerful the raw vocals sound, followed by a comparison with the fully orchestrated score with multiple vocal and instrumental layers. This scene is about our protagonist Mwindo's birth, and the celebration surrounding it. You might enjoy this better on your headphones 🎧 #mwindo #teded #animation #soundtrack #vocals [African folklore] [Epic Orchestral Score] [Vocal arrangement] [music for animation]

The myth of Mwindo, an adventure filled African tale, for me, was extraordinarily exciting for two reasons. One, I got to write African music with some very talented musicians all the way from Tanzania! And, two, I got to compose a soundtrack for yet another brilliant animation by @raghavarumugam and @jagritikhirwar ! I am really grateful to @tededanimation for this amazing opportunity yet again, and for giving voice to stories from around the world. This one is Nyanga folklore from the Congo region exploring themes of vengeance, power, and redemption. And, of course, we have the hard hitting, action packed sound design by @antwon_nguyen Vocals by Fatuma Mpendu(@verified_datuu ) and Benedict Shirima #animation #soundtrack #congo #africanmusic #mythology

One of the many beautiful things about Indian classical music is its deep rooted connection with nature, for instance Raag Basant Bahar, which translates to spring season. Featured in this short clip is a composition based on Raag Basant Bahar that I composed for the beautiful animated film about Kironmala, a feirce and compassionate warrior princess, featuring violin and Sarangi, a stringed Indian instrument. What a privilege to work with @helo.dr again on her exquisite animation! When the Greek God Dionysus decides to wreak havoc, it's no joke! Poor King Pentheus was torn apart by his own mother, who was under a hallucinatory spell by the God. Scoring this was incredibly fun and challenging, because the tension rises, the tempo quickens, and the chaos intensifies! Always a pleasure collaborating with @cosmiconionring on his beautiful and fun animations! And, this wouldn't be the same at all without the amazing sound design by our very own @antwon_nguyen . #greekmythology #dionysus #music #sounddesign #ost #musicforanimation #animation

One of the most challenging films to write music for, but extremely rewarding. Prophecy of the Fates is a Greek myth that has so much adventure and action. This is a clip with a lot of intense action, which means, a great fun for us to design the sound and music! It's always a dream collaboration with @layrondejarnette 's amazing animation and direction! #calydonianboarhunt #prohecyofthefates #music #sounddesign #animation #cAMPStudio #teded #greekmythology

We are in @le_museum (National Museum of Natural History) in Paris, through our audio work! Team cAMP Studio worked on music and sound for a beautiful animated piece about how cacti survive in deserts, which is now a part of the Dēserts exhibition at the museum. Friends in Paris, go check out this exhibit. It looks wonderful! It was such a joy working on this, and we are honored that we got to work with @tededanimation , @ohstudio.co.uk and the museum for this piece. Known for co-directing the Oscar short-listed film Blue Moon, Jeff Le Bars is one of those rare and special talents who we have been lucky to work with. Our most recent collaboration was an animation about the science of fingerprints. This snippet is the opening sequence. It was challenging and fun to create the sonic world for this detective show styled animation. To keep the music mysterious and suspenseful, the rhythm is driven by a ticking clock sound, harps, and pizzicato strings. There are some clever crime and detective themed visual references scattered throughout the film. Check out the rest of it on ed.TED.com. Beowulf - Conclusion When a slumbering dragon is awakened, it unleashes havoc across the land. An aging Beowulf, now king, takes up arms one last time to defend his people, even though they all have abandoned him… All but one - the young and courageous Wiglaf. I love writing themes, any chance I get to write them. This is the very end of Beowulf’s story, where I got an opportunity to write a second heroic theme, this time for Wiglaf, also featured on the Nyckelharpa, expertly performed by @swandyermusic ! Directed by @raghavarumugam and @jagritikhirwar Music by @salilsb Sound Design by @amandaphbennett #teded #animation #music #composer #sounddesign #cAMPStudio #Beowulf #scandinavian #mythology

Have you heard of an instrument called Nyckelharpa before? Have you heard of Beowulf’s story before, a Scandinavian poem that survived London’s Cotton Library fire? This is that story, and it contains haunting monsters, adventure, and action! Nyckelharpa is a beautiful medieval instrument, extremely versatile in its emotional range. We used it in the music for eerie textures, villain themes, and also the heroic theme for Beowulf. It was such a pleasure to work on this action packed animation directed by the very talented @raghavarumugam and @jagritikhirwar , and produced by TED-Ed animation. Big shout-out to Vicki Swan for playing Nyckelharpa so beautifully on this project (plus a few other instruments!) What a day, what a feeling! @wondercon 2025 was magical. I want to thank @asifahollywood for selecting me to exhibit at this amazing event this year, along with some industry veterans like Bob Miller (The Simpsons), Adam Henry (The Loud Family), Bambi Moé (The Little Mermaid), Justine King (Amon), and Heidi Neunhoffer (Jurassic World: Chaos Theory). It was such a joy showcasing cAMP Studio's work, and I was pleasantly surprised to see people stop by and put on headphones to listen, especially in an arena full of visual artists and cosplayers. The success story, though, was the little girl who was trailing behind her mom and brother, got captivated by the screen playing our reel, and called her mom back to look at it. She then took the time to listen to it, and comment on it. What did she like about it? 'It syncs really well...' The girl is learning piano and guitar, and learnt today what sound design means. That made my day. I'm all energized to resume working with renewed energy and focus! #WonderCon2025 #cAMPStudio #SoundStoriesandYou #ASIFAHollywood
