For the past four years, Usha Krishnamurthy has been a TED-Ed Student Talks facilitator at Tenbroeck Academy in India. During that time, she’s seen how the program has helped students grow into confident, clear speakers and created a safe space where they can be themselves.
Here, she reflects on how the experience also impacted her as an educator: “It has reminded me that education is not just about teaching content, but about listening, reflection, and student voice. Instead of giving answers, I focus on asking better questions and creating a safe space where students feel comfortable speaking honestly. Through this journey, I’ve grown alongside my students.”
