A glimpse into our recently completed project, Megan Avenue 🤎
Embodying a quiet grandeur and a contemporary femininity, Megan Avenue is a warm and deeply textural reimagining of the traditional Federation home. Bone Made’s design approach merges classic detailing with grounded, modern sensibilities; creating a residence that feels both storied and effortlessly current.
Anchored by the project’s concept, ‘Refined Federation’, the home honours its architectural lineage while embracing a softer, more nurturing palette. Arched thresholds, wall panelling by Intrim and coffered ceilings introduce a sense of craftsmanship; each gesture speaking to the nostalgia of the era while remaining pared back enough for a modern family.

Meet our Co-Founder & Interior Designer, Leah 🤎
Leading with a refined, intuitive approach to design, her work is grounded in a deep appreciation for materiality, proportion and the quiet layering of spaces that feel both considered and lived in. With a natural ability to connect, Leah aligns closely with her clients from the outset, understanding how they want to feel within a space, not just how it should look.
Leah leads the studio through the conceptual and schematic phases, shaping the overarching big vision, while thoughtfully resolving bespoke joinery, finishes and fixtures. Her strength lies in weaving together a cohesive narrative, balancing warmth, texture and restraint before layering in key furniture, art and unique styling to create spaces that feel deeply personal and enduring.
Her work is defined by a sense of ease; interiors that are both sophisticated, elevated and grounded, where every element has been carefully considered, yet nothing feels overworked.
Leah lives on Sydney’s Northern Beaches with her family. She draws constant inspiration from the rhythm of family life and the calm of home, both of which continue to inform her evolving design perspective.
The living space at Megan Avenue 🤎 A classic style wood-burner fireplace creates a stunning focal point and provides a nod to traditional Federation comfort. Custom fluted timber wall mounted joinery in a warm beige tone was designed to effortlessly conceal the TV when not in use, as well as showcase a layering of styling elements on the shelving; ensuring a homely touch.
Megan Avenue is a home that celebrates craftsmanship, subtlety and comfort. It’s an invitation into a slower, more grounded way of living; one shaped by natural materials, timeless finishes, and the enduring beauty of refined simplicity.

The main bathroom at Megan Avenue extends the home’s tactile narrative through limestone pavers and microcement walls; creating a space that feels both robust and calming. The walnut toned vanity introduces a subtle wash of warmth which enhances the calm, spa-like ambience.
We collaborated with @gathercoaustralia to select the ‘Ascott’ - the perfect, timeless limestone paver for the bathroom flooring.
