Through the wardrobe and into the ensuite. One of the better sequencing decisions on this Killarney Heights renovation.
Walking through the master wardrobe to reach the ensuite is a simple idea, but the execution is what makes it feel considered.
The layout required careful planning around plumbing, waterproofing, and how the two spaces connect without compromising either one.
When the brief calls for something like this, the building work behind the walls matters just as much as what you see in front of them.
It's a private, functional space that works exactly as it should.
Fairlight has a lot of character in its older homes and this one was no different.
Across the full renovation we were mindful of retaining that historic charm while bringing the whole home up to standard.
This is just a snapshot of the dining room, but it reflects the approach we took throughout the entire project. Working with the existing bones, respecting the details worth keeping, and carefully integrating the new work so nothing feels out of place.
Every decision on site has to be considered, and the trades need to be across the detail to pull it off properly.
The finished home has the warmth and character of the original, with everything built and finished to a high standard throughout.
This family needed more space, so we extended the upper floor and gave them exactly that.
First-floor extensions require solid structural work from the ground up. Getting the load paths right, tying the new work back into the existing structure, and making sure everything is built to last is where the focus goes before anything else.
This space came together well and the family now has a living space that suits how they actually live. That's what it's all about.
One of the most common questions we get early in the process: do I actually need detailed plans before we start?
The short answer is yes, and we've broken down exactly why in our latest blog.
From what different plan types cover, to how they protect you as a client and keep the build running smoothly on our end, it's worth a read before you get too far into planning your renovation.
Good documentation before construction starts makes everything easier. Clearer decisions, fewer surprises, and a smoother build from start to finish.

Our Killarney Heights renovation is a good example of how different elements can sit together without competing.
Warm timber, marble, light floorboards, and VJ panelling on the ceiling.
Each material brings something to the space, and when they're specified and installed with care, the result speaks for itself.
It's the kind of detail that takes precision to execute well, and that's exactly how it was built.
This lounge room at our Seaforth project is one of those spaces that just works.
The ceiling height gives it room to breathe, and the windows were positioned to pull in as much natural light as possible throughout the day.
Getting the structural elements right is what allows a space like this to feel as open as it does.
We're really proud of how this one came together!

The brief was to create a contemporary space with subtle mid-century modern accents, while staying true to the federation style and history of the property.
The result is a beautifully refined laundry, simple, functional, and thoughtfully designed, with warm tones and timeless finishes that tie everything together seamlessly.
Proof that even the most practical spaces can feel considered and elevated.

This West Pymble project was a rear extension, with a focus on carrying those mid-century modern accents right through the exterior.
We worked carefully to ensure the new addition felt seamless with the original home - maintaining its character while improving functionality and flow.
It is a cohesive finish that enhances the home without losing what made it special to begin with.
This Seaforth project was all about creating more space for a growing family while modernising the home in a practical, considered way.
With a ground and first floor extension and full internal renovation, we focused on delivering a layout that works day to day - additional bedrooms, a family space, a study and a beautifully finished bathroom upstairs, with a large entertaining zone downstairs complete with custom joinery and a wine cabinet.
The corner sliding doors open the home right up, bringing in natural light and creating that seamless indoor-outdoor flow we know so many families are looking for.
Executed to a high standard with a clear focus on functionality and liveability.
Our pre-construction process is all about setting your project up the right way from day one.
From that first call and site meeting, through to detailed estimates, agreements and scheduling, we take the time to understand your vision, align on budget and plan every detail properly.
It’s a thorough process, but that’s exactly what allows us to deliver a smooth build, clear communication and no surprises along the way.
If you’re in the early stages, now’s the time to get us involved 🤝
