We are noticing a surge in this type of project as a response to the current financial climate. Clients are becoming increasingly informed through social media and are recognising that modifying or restoring a home with a strong structural foundation can often be a more beneficial and realistic approach when working within a strict budget.
Some people refer to these projects as alterations and additions, but in certain circumstances we prefer to describe them as restoration projects, restoring the original design and carefully evolving it to respond to modern living requirements, while never losing sight of the original designer’s intent for the home.
Our latest project Kendalls, overlooks the ocean and is a perfect example of this approach.
