Everyone again! I'm coming back slowly, as I've had a lot of changes in my life. One of which was that I got into the school I wanted which resulted in a move and a lot of movement. I've had this production in my files for a while, but I wasn't sure when to post it. It came about because I wanted to challenge myself and try to produce something I love without having to rely on outside resources. So doing everything from scratch from the blank sheet of paper that was given to me. So I took vinyl as a medium, which is very important to me with music in general. Here, it's the creation of a cover for a fictitious band (Also for the soundtrack, don't mind me, I just put the titles that came to my mind). And so here is the result! I'm very proud of the overall layout and also of the finishing touches and the photo realistic look I wanted to give! There are a lot of details and references to the music world in the composition. This is the front cover of my portfolio. It was designed to try and get into a master's degree next school year. I immediately wanted to design a book in a hardcover format. It was interesting, because I didn't know much about hardcover design before this project and the difficulty of adding a texture to it, such as textile. But it was especially rewarding when it came to creating the prototypes! I wanted to have the 1st and 4th covers (I'll show you the 4th soon) sober, so I chose to graft a paper banner to be able to put the summary of the portfolio and some factual information. For the mention "complete edition", it is here, because there are several versions of my book depending on the schools. Currently, this is the complete edition, with its 46 pages and 6 sections. Go and print it! _____________ Voici la 1re de couverture de mon portfolio. Elle a été conçue pour tenter de rentrer en master l’année scolaire prochaine. J’ai tout de suite voulu imaginer un book sur un format rigide. Ça a été intéressant, car je ne connaissais pas grand-chose à l’élaboration de couverture rigide avant ce projet et à la difficulté de lui rajouter une texture comme ici de textile. Mais ça a été enrichissant surtout au moment de créer les prototypes ! Je souhaitais avoir la 1re et la 4ème de couverture (je vous montre bientôt la 4ème) sobre, voilà pourquoi j’ai choisi de greffer un bandeau en papier pour pouvoir déposer le résumé du portfolio et quelques informations factuelles. Pour la mention « édition complète », elle est ici, car il existe plusieurs versions de mon book en fonctions des écoles. Présentement, c’est la mouture exhaustive, munie de ses 46 pages et de ses 6 sections.
