Very excited to present four artists working in the darkest corners of experimental electronic music, on May 21st, at Cu Dalston. @cu_dalston Zancudo Berraco is the explosive experimental techno alias of Portuguese multi-instrumentalist Henrique Apolinário. A dedicated sonic explorer, he crafts loud, full-spectrum, and fast-paced live sets designed for pure dance-floor catharsis. @zancudo_berraco aircode is a Swedish producer based in London whose music is typified by dubwise dynamics, sonic capaciousness, and permutable elements of percussion, voice and piano. They have performed across Europe, and put out records on the labels TT (formerly Tobago Tracks), Takuroko, Alien Jams, Gin&Platonic and NHS along with a number of self-released Bandcamp drops. @_aircode_ ex.sses (she/they) is an experimental producer and DJ. ex.sses fuses heavy bass, broken drums and textural sounds, from her resident shows on Balamii and Netil to her guest mixes for NTS, Kiosk Radio she has built a bass led palette of sounds, unconfined by genre. ex.sses’ ties to experimental sound and club culture have since manifested in releases on TT, BAIT, Traverse, glint, Earful of Wax, Cherche Encore and Hard Return and has premiered on DJ Mag, Mixmag and Bad Tips. These releases have gained attention over the years, resulting in dark, club focused DJ sets across the UK and Europe. Her live electronic performances expand on ex.sses’ exploration of noise, textural sounds, poetry and the gendered body. @ex.sses King Monolith blends noise, dub and reckless sampling to form a chaotic style of dance music; constantly on the edge of collapse into full blown noise. @a_village_idiot Poster by Matej Siska @user_siska ⚡Ticket link in bio ⚡

@benvince91 celebrating the launch of his new album, Street Droid, at @vespersclub earlier tonight. Ben is such an original artist, I strongly recommend seeing him. He plays sax and guitar live and loops and layers to produce such amazing sounds, it’s a treat! @_aircode_ and @xtereaa opening. I know the pictures are terrible lol but I don’t want to miss out on documenting such a brilliant show! Congrats, Ben! #londonmusic #londonmusicscene #londonmusicians

This past month I’ve been balancing a few shows and work, while also being gifted some incredible new releases to sink into. Most notably, Carrier’s Rhythm Immortal. The track featuring Voice Actor was an immediate highlight and helped set the tone for the show’s structure and atmosphere. I guess you could say the music that’s inspiring me right now is a bit hazier fogged up experimental club. I read something about Carrier’s new project that stuck with me: this idea of what’s removed from sound — how often, in production, we strip away the high and low frequencies in search of clarity or perceived value. For how minimal the album feels, it’s also quite massive. That approach really resonates with me; even in my own tracks, I tend to limit myself to 8–10 layers, focusing more on what’s left between the sounds. From there, I wanted to slowly blur the edges between warmth and rhythm. The Aphex Twin cut, Jynweythek, always feels like a moment suspended in air — mechanical but deeply emotional. It bridges naturally into J. Albert and OKO DJ, who both bring a tactile, human quality to digital sound. Two artists that I’m really enjoying at the moment. I love how their tracks feel like they’re stretching between memory and motion. After Labyrinth, the mix dissolves into a fogged-out club atmosphere — humid, metallic, and submerged — where wet industrial rhythms pulse through condensation, and my track Noema folds seamlessly into that texture, a continuation of synthetic rain meeting percussive decay. I’m really enjoying this vision, we are 11 shows into the year and my sound feels very much there. Next month planning on putting together my favorite releases from albums this year.
