Sergio Suárez is a Mexican-born, Atlanta-based visual artist and printmaker. His work explores how materiality and semiotics influence notions of the body, metaphysics, and diverse cosmologies. Suárez describes his woodblock printing practice as “composing in time”, and it is as if each work contains an internal mythology, to which the viewer is privy to a single moment in an unknown, prolonged chronology.

Surabhi Ghosh is an artist and educator based in Montreal. She is Associate Professor of Fibres and Material Practices at Concordia University and is also the current Chair of the Department of Studio Arts in the Faculty of Fine Arts. Ghosh uses textiles, patterning, and site-responsive installations to materialize contradictory narratives which begin and end in her own experiences, while analyzing the tensile relationship between materials, objects, and their contested cultural meanings.
//
Mia Sandhu is a Punjabi Canadian artist currently residing in Toronto. Sandhu’s multidisciplinary practice explores themes of femininity, sexuality, cultural hybridity, self authenticity, and safety. Expressed through her playful paper and gouache/watercolour based works, Sandhu seeks to examine inner conflicts seemingly intrinsic to womanhood while also challenging more abstract concepts like unrequited assimilation and cultural dysphoria.
