While the project marks a departure from her debut Big For You (Mexican Summer, 2024), traces of soul, jazz, and R&B remain deeply embedded. Her humming, jazz-inflected vocal lines—rich with subtle key changes—continue to draw the listener inward.
 This shift toward ambient and instrumental work extends ideas first explored in her collaborations with Actress on 'Angel’s Pharmacy'. 4 Dreams shares an atmospheric, neo-classical sensibility while also echoing the legacy of spiritual jazz pioneers such as Alice Coltrane and Dorothy Ashby. At its heart, 4 Dreams is a record that’s entrenched in jazz, soul and classical minimalism rather than throwaway numbing music, of the contemporary variety. Even though 4 Dreams moves in a different direction than the debut Big For You (Mexican Summer, 2024), the inspiration of soul, jazz and R&B still shines through on the album, as Zsela’s humming vocals, with its jazz-inspired key changes, keep you intrigued. For this release, alongside critically acclaimed producer Daniel Aged and composer Taul Katz, Zsela steps confidently into the field of instrumental composition. This exploration of instrumental and ambient composition can be seen as a continuation of themes previously explored in her collaborations with UK-based artist Actress on the songs ‘Angel’s Pharmacy’ and ‘Remembrance’ from the album Karma & Desire (Ninja Tune, 2020). 4 Dreams bears the same atmospheric neo-classical attributes as recent releases by Nala Sinephro, Malibu, Mary Lattimore, and even draws on the legacy of spiritual jazz legends such as Alice Coltrane and Dorothy Ashby. 《About goat》 goat is an Osaka-based five-piece rhythm ensemble led by composer and musician Koshiro Hino.Treating instruments such as guitar, saxophone, and bass as if they were percussion, the group constructs finely calibrated polyrhythms using the very act of sound production itself, including noise and muted tones, as compositional material. Each member functions like a human drum machine or sequencer, and the trance and exhaustion generated through obsessive repetition, together with harmonics that fall outside the twelve-tone scale, exert a physical and psychological impact on the listener. Widely acclaimed across Europe, goat has performed at Rewire 2024 in The Hague and Festival Variations in Nantes, where they also shared a bill with SUNN O))). Last year, they also appeared as a guest act at the Osaka date of Ryoji Ikeda’s Japan tour, continuing to earn strong recognition both in Japan and internationally. Their 2025 release “Without References / Cindy Van Acker” was commissioned by Swiss dancer and choreographer Cindy Van Acker. The work was composed in response to a dance piece by Van Acker that emerged in the wake of the death of Mika Vainio, her longtime collaborator, and further highlights the physicality embedded in goat’s performance.
