WOW PIPE MASTER!! @caitysimmers so proud of you. We all knew how much you wanted to win this event, but to take it out at pumping pipe is just incredible. That Finals day was a pivotal moment for surfing!! @mikalajones__ , truly one of a kind 💔 The imprint Mikala left on the surf world is unmatched. His passion for surf adventure and sharing those experiences with others in finding a certain type of wave with no one around is something I admire deeply, and I am abundantly grateful to have been a part of a couple. It didn’t matter where he was in the world, he always had a “little zone” around the corner where nobody would be surfing and those are moments I’ll cherish forever. “Hush hush Gabers. Too many questions.” Genuine, creative, curious, compassionate, and straight up, an amazing fucking human, and I know everyone has a beautiful MJ story to tell.
