what an experience, what a bond. sisterhood has always been such a forward and prevailing aspect in my life. from sisterhood within my own bloodline to sisterhood found in bonds over time. the growing, the learning and the loving that takes place between women is something so sacred. Vona, this was a TIME gowrl. Lawd I haven’t had a good cry and an immediate chuckle in a while. I’ve been sitting, digesting and processing this moment since the episode aired. For the many things I am thankful for, being divenly bestowed the honor of being your big sister in this lifetime is one of the greatest ones. You extend so much love, grace and sternness that is truly felt and beyond expression. You teach + enforce me to embrace all of who I am and filter out the things that have expired. I am thankful for the blessing that is you. As I stated before your love is really a “cheese and grapes” experience. Thank you so much Topaz and the rest of The Skin Deep team! You all made this experience so memorable and so warm. Such a beautiful time spent with beautiful ladies at The Love Lab: Love Notes & Necessities hosted by @graceyfoundation at @morganstateu 💚✨ An informative, affirming, and grounding space where we unpacked boundaries, healthy vs. unhealthy relationships, self-love, and so much more, all through a therapeutic lens. We also utilized the Stranger & Self Deck from @the_skindeep to spark vulnerability and deeper reflection. So many conversations that were rooted in honesty and growth. BTS of ABUNDANCE💙🥂 the freedom and beauty in the process of creative expression and execution is so savory. 7 months ago the concept of this shoot was planned to be a whole different theme, still on brand but, not truly how I wanted to reflect the era in which I was approaching. the fun thing about evolution is the aspect of change. after a few more conversations with myself and journal entries I had a changed perspective of how to share me entering this 28th year. forever grateful to my council, my tribe. this was such a fun shoot. thank you, @roevision , @niy.vmi , @vona___ @amiradamani , @colleseee , @pimpsoda , @thesolasystem , @tifftionary , @madilow_ , @apoetnamednate for being the trusted hands on this set & in my life. you all came through and made this possible & so special, so divine. approaching 28 I was in constant awe at my positioning in my womanhood (still am) and felt the need create an expression reflecting the goodness in my life and decreeing the continuing over flow. psalms 23:5 is a beautiful reference to this moment. realizing that the table prepared contains the fruits of my labor and how they are a reminder of my environment & ecosystem. being in alignment with people, experiences, lessons and spaces that nurture various aspects of my womanhood. the outpouring of blessings and delight I have experienced to this point is truly a testament to the favor, love, and ministry bestowed by God &the influence of those before me. I am honored to walk into this space with openness, poise & grace. welcoming 28 to a set table, an open heart and cup that runs over and over and OVER again. 🥂 bts photos: @pimpsoda
