Supermarket of my dreams ☁️ Designed by: @minimalstudiodesigns Plastic Box is a supermarket in Mallorca with a very distinct look. The building is a simple, heavy concrete volume on the outside, giving it a strong brutalist feel. Inside, the standout feature is the ceiling, which is made from recycled plastic crates. They’re arranged in a grid and used to hide lighting and ventilation, while also diffusing light through the space. This creates a textured, graphic ceiling without adding unnecessary materials. The rest of the interior sticks to the same minimal approach: concrete floors, steel shelving, and blocky checkout counters. Everything is kept functional and stripped back, letting the materials do the work. 📸: @leonardo_condor #brutalism #retaildesign #mallorca #minimalstudio #sustainablearchitecture #repost

Works by AGO collaborators OHLA Studio (@ohlastudio ), pictured at their 2023 AGO Projects exhibition. Founded by Giulia Zink and Mat Trumbull, OHLA Studio develops furniture and objects shaped by architectural form, material experimentation and the craft traditions of central Mexico. Their work for AGO explored solid volumes, textured surfaces and a palette grounded in natural finishes, reflecting the studio’s interest in pieces that feel both elemental and highly considered. If you happen to be in CDMX, be sure to stop by my favorite gallery @agoprojects 🤍 #repost

My first talk with @studioseitz at @monocle_cafe – on the idea of Swissness. It was a pleasure to join the discussion what “Swissness” really means today – beyond clichés of precision and perfection. We spoke about quiet confidence, a sense of proportion, and how design, culture, and everyday rituals shape the way Switzerland is perceived in the world. A thoughtful exchange about identity, aesthetics, and the values that endure when everything else moves fast. A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful team at Monocle and ROB & KEVIN 🤍

A rehearsal hall tuned to the rhythms of the tropics: Designed by Leopold Banchini Architects, the Neojiba Rehearsal Hall floats above the forest floor in Salvador de Bahia, Brazil Framed by the tropical landscape of Parque do Queimado, the hall brings together raw brutalism with stillness, creating a rehearsal space that feels both grounded and weightless Created for the Child and Youth Orchestra of Bahia (Neojiba), this concrete structure rests gently on stilts, allowing light and air to pass beneath — a gesture toward harmony between sound, space, and nature Project @leopoldbanchini Images @analog1.eu & @kilsam_el Via @nowness

Rockefeller Dining Room - Fritz Glarner revisited by Alfredo Häberli One of the centerpieces of Museum Haus Konstruktiv’s collection is Fritz Glarner’s Rockefeller Dining Room, originally designed in 1963-64 for the New York City apartment of Nelson A. Rockefeller and his wife, and which exemplifies the principle of Relational Painting. Fritz Glarner, part of the extended circle of Zurich Concretists, moved to New York in 1936, where he developed a close friendship with Mondrian, who had relocated there in 1940. Deeply influenced by Mondrian, Glarner adopted a similar limited color palette of primary colors-red, yellow, and blue. However, instead of incorporating the Rockefellers’ furniture elements, Häberli’s contemporary design is tailored to suit the current museum situation and the historical spatial setting. The results comprise a dining table, chairs, a specially made carpet, curtains and a new lighting system. via @90sanxiety
