Kensa’s artistry is rooted in a deep fascination with sound, its textures and its ability to transform a room. Hailing from central Italy and based in London for more than a decade and a half, his early nights—many shared with future
@outransa co-founder Nicky Macha—sparked a curiosity that grew into a refined yet exploratory approach to DJing.
Lorenzo’s sets are defined by long-form storytelling, where time becomes fluid and the dancefloor becomes a space for exploration rather than expectation. His sets unfold as forward-thinking narratives, blending acidic pulses, hypnotic rhythms, and deep, rolling
low-end into a style that feels both raw and futuristic. Whether opening a night or driving the peak hours, he approaches each moment as an opportunity to craft an evolving narrative built from intuition, constant research, and a meticulous approach to collecting records.
Performances at spaces like Fold, Starlane, Club der Visionaere, Hoppetosse, New York’s Apollo Studios, Chengdu’s .TAG and SX Seoul have positioned Kensa within a truly international circuit known for its discerning dancefloors. His acclaimed recorded
sets—including the celebrated recorded multi-hour Outransa session at Fold for
@cartulismusic —further underline his commitment to depth, nuance, and narrative-driven selections. Together, these milestones have solidified his identity as an artist who consistently prioritises subtlety over spectacle, depth over display, and genuine musical discovery over formula.
His solo vision is expanded further with Outransa, a platform he co-founded in 2018 built on integrity, community and an unfiltered commitment to the craft, championing artists and sounds that operate outside the noise of trends, with a highly respected residency at The Lion & Lamb in London which just celebrated its seven years anniversary last weekend with a stellar display.
