Full bio:
Founded in 2018 by Kensa and Nicky—both hailing from the very same area in central Italy—the project was born after years spent together on the dancefloor and evolved as a platform built on community, integrity, and a deep respect for the art of DJing. Nights where curiosity, shared vision, and a desire for something more expansive than trend-driven club culture first took shape. What began as intimate gatherings has grown into a highly respected movement within London’s underground, nowadays with a home at The Lion & Lamb and a reputation for championing artists who approach music with sincerity and risk-taking spirit.
At its core, the duo rejects narrow definitions. Speaking to movement and transformation, its sound reflects a wide, non-sectorised and combined approach to electronic music: deep, rolling rhythms, futuristic edges, and organic cross-pollinations drawn from digging, diverse styles, and years of joint listening and experimenting. As each of their own residencies is curated not as a lineup, but as a narrative—a space where exploration outweighs expectation and where the dancefloor becomes a site for genuine discovery—so are their sets.
Outransa’s presence has extended well beyond London. Their appraised displays at Fold—including the two celebrated multi-hour sets for
@cartulismusic , representing clear examples of the experiences they deliver—as well as their performances across international, underground communities— from New York City, to Barcelona and Berlin—have further established the duo’s identity as one that travels far.
Functioning as a sub-cultural initiative—a reminder that community grows from care, openness, and long-term vision—it remains a continuously evolving project, grounded in the belief that music is not just to be played, but something that can shape people, places, and possibilities: in full harmony with Forward’s vision.
