Today I’m very happy to share my contribution to @mnmt.no ‘s wonderful podcast series
With this mix I wanted to capture the energy of some of the higher intensity deep + dark techno sets I’ve enjoyed playing recently. The mix moves from mysterious beginnings to growling, off-beat rhythms before tunnelling into driving, vortexing techno🌪️

eeeek super excited to share a very special mix I’ve been working on for @mixmag 💛💛
this mix was inspired by some of my fave tunnelling, peak time sets I’ve played to date - namely last year’s @abovebelowfestival and @fatamorganafestival - the tracks are new n fresh but I wanted to capture the energy I felt during those moments - the sound drifts between clarity and obscurity, frenetic rhythms and tense ambience - defo my fave textures to weave my way through during the spooky early hours :))
I also had a lovely chat with epic boss Isaac about my entry into music + DJing, my approach to crafting sets + mixes, and the hard-to-define but very much real deep techno / halftime / psy-influenced fast techno scene that I love so much hehe

Basée à Londres, Faery naviguent aux confins psychédéliques et disloquées de la techno et de la drum’n bass reliant le tout par un design sonore complexe et de riches textures atmosphériques. Elle plonge volontiers dans des espaces intermédiaires mythiques et magiques, des espaces de transition qui se déploient et s’intensifient sur le dancefloor. Ces dernières années, elle a joué dans des clubs et des festivals en Europe, parmi lesquels De School à Amsterdam, le festival Positive Education, le OHM à Berlin et le FOLD à Londres.
En parallèle de son travail musical, Faery explore la possibilité de créer de multiples univers par le biais de la poésie et de la littérature expérimentales, en s’inspirant de son intérêt pour l’écologie et le concept de futurité. Elle collabore actuellement avec des producteurs et des compositeurs, alliant art sonore et écriture afin de créer des univers acoustiques imaginaires.
Faery is a London-based DJ whose hypnotic selections travel through the psychedelic reaches of deep, broken techno and dark, vortex-like DnB, connecting the dots through a focus on intricate sound design and rich, moody textures. Faery embraces the mythical, magical states of the in-between - states of transition, states that grow and build on the dancefloor, where anything can unfold. Over recent years, she’s played at iconic venues and festivals across Europe, including Amsterdam’s De School, Positive Education Festival, Berlin’s OHM, and London’s FOLD.
Alongside her DJ practice, Faery explores the world-building potential of experimental poetry and fiction, drawing on her interest in environmental theory and futurity through her writing. She is currently working on collaborative projects with producers and composers, working with sound and storytelling to create speculative sonic worlds.

It’s going to be such a lovely day/evening - running from 16.00-22.30 so we can all still feel fresh after🧘♀️
I’ll be taking a break from DJing for a little while after this weekend to focus on other things, so really looking forward to sharing my fave deep, dark ambient bits alongside such a dreamy crew :)

Had so much fun going b2b with the wonderful @sybil_dj - she’s been behind so many of my favourite dancefloor experiences - so it was super special to finally play together! We journeyed headfirst into spiralling techno, offbeat oddities and cosmic trancy euphoria🌀🌀🌀
