This is something I never ever imagined I would write, much less live to see. Our dear brother @rainmaker_75 has passed on.
His energy and presence spoke before he ever did even though he spoke plenty. He made everyone feel invited and seen in a way few ever could.
He spoke to who you were as a person and his light amplified everyone's around him. He is the foundation of so many communities and so many peoples journey that we will never be the same
Ill never forget your laugh or your smile and I promise to love people as you would -- without hesitation or reservation. No love will be spared and not shared.
Thank you for your life & thank you for light
67:15. LA ---> LV SOLO
The number still doesn't feel real but I remember every hour. It's still hard to put into words.
How strangers became brothers united by a singular goal to break 75 hours. The weekly meetings, the planning, the tracking, the edits. Ppl from different walks of life, different countries who speak different languages and we were able to use the best of ourselves to make sure @bielruns had everything he needed.
IDK if he needed us as much as we needed him. We needed a tangible example that anything was possible and he showed us every mile, with a smile on his face and a singular focus to move forward. He didn't waver in the face of winds, dogs, fatigue just one foot in front of the other. I'm pretty sure we needed more rest than he did 😂
During the last 20 miles of the race, running next to Biel the moon rises and our first mile together was 11:11 and I looked at him and told him that he was exactly where he needed to be at this place and time and he was who he said he was. We smiled the entire last 20
It was an honor to pace and crew you Biel and it was an honor to serve beside my brothers in pursuit of a larger goal. I will take these lessons with me forever!
Thank you El Lobo! Thank you for showing me what total commitment actually looks like and reminding us what a privilege running is.
Thank you @maudac for leading with quiet intensity and precision
Thank you @andyajmeza for joining the adventure with no information, no introduction and before I even told the team 😂 but being the ultimate utility player that only you can be
Thank you @tycjantrzpiola for keeping the truck pristine and the laughs rolling every step of the way
One week after Tokyo I was back home racing Hyrox
DC Hyrox was a whole family reunion -- we basically moved into the convention center for two days to watch ppl perform and rise to the occasion.
I cheered so much I almost forgot I had to race at the end.
Hyrox is great but the people who do take on the challenge are special.

The bad photos were from me!
Still on a high from Tokyo but not because of the marathon.
When I was 8 we had a Japanese exchange student named Keiko. She taught us how to write, how to do origami and expanded our ideas of the world.
When she was leaving I promised I would learn Japanese and that I would visit her when I was 16. Despite my declarations -- neither of those things ever happened.
Fast forward over two decades later and @quaro_jp gives me an opportunity to run the Tokyo Marathon. The first thought I have is that I get to fulfill my long lost dream.
Virtually everything has changed in the years that passed but that shared connection never did and that's the beauty of friendship -- no matter time or distance -- it can endure.
See you next year Keiko -- maybe I will actually learn some more Japanese or grow my hair out again
Tokyo owes me nothing.
Added a new star to the collection while watching my brothers get their six star medal
Despite throwing up twice (practice your nutrition folks)- my knee injury is officially a thing of the past so now I can turn on the GAS.
Thank you so much @quaro_jp for the opportunity -- I can't wait to return next year!
Fear is gone now so the demon is coming back for Hyrox!
#MedalMonday
First run in a week.
Last run before Tokyo.
This whole block I was scared to push myself out of fear
Fear of injury and fear of unmet expectations
Tomorrow we release them both and begin my year of closing the gap -- one race at a time
Yesterday we got better
Rep 1 -- it was quiet, just silent work
Rep 2 -- some grunts
Rep 3 -- More breathing
Rep 4 -- I told them the second half we had to speed up
Rep 5 -- they said they couldn't do it but they proved themselves wrong with every step
Rep 6 - we ran just as fast and no one complained
Rep 7- we progressed every 200m
After the 800's we lined up to stride and those 100m strides quickly became 100m sprints.
The same group who doubted their ability to speed up -- flew.
The same group who doubted their desire -- ran with a smile.
The same group ran faster than they thought possible and proved what we already knew that they ALWAYS have more and that same group won't forget it for their next challenge
See you next WINSday!
New year, same @teamafterone
Same time, same place
A sanctuary to challenge yourself,
extend yourself,
mold yourself
but not into anything new.
Here we uncover what is already inside of you, to make the distance between your dreams and reality just a bit shorter To watch you bloom into who we already know you are
PR's are made in winter but no matter the SZN you know where you need to be

Last track of 2025 for @teamafterone
It may be cold outside but it's hot at the track every WINSDAY
While we get ready for the savagery of 2026.
Remember your competition is not other ppl.
It's your bad habits,
It's your bad sleep,
It's your bad nutrition
Your goals are competing with your need for comfort.
Every time you toe the line you are winning the battle
Win enough of them and you win the war
TAO 2025 Yearbook | @teamafterone
I am so proud beyond words of every single member of our TAO family. From a small group of 20ish to 80-90 people at peak this year, seeing everyone show up at Dunbar each week to then show up on game day at their races was something to behold.
My two favorite things about this group:
1. Our diversity in both ethnicity/representation, but also our diversity in competition. We half 5Kers, half marathoners, marathoners, Abbott World Marathon marathoners, ultra marathoners, tri-athletes, and Ironmen/women, and hella hyroxers
2. Our ability and commitment to showing up for one another. There wasn’t a single race day where TAO didn’t show up and cheer our people on (often states and countries away), even if we just had one person racing
Congratulations to my chosen family on an INCREDIBLE 2025. Let’s go crazy 2026 🤪🏅
