A new season at Restaurant Hjem, captured at South Causey Inn.
Fresh menu, thoughtful plating and a real sense of place running through every dish. Clean, considered and full of detail.
For this shoot we built a mini studio setup on site, lighting each dish to control tone, texture and consistency across the full menu. A more technical approach, but one that keeps everything elevated and aligned.
An ongoing collaboration with chef and friend Alex, it’s always a pleasure to work together and bring each new menu to life.

A quiet, considered intervention within the MIMA grounds.
Designed and built by Northern Bureau of Architecture, the Garden Pavilion balances structure, material and landscape with real clarity. Subtle detailing, soft edges and a space that shifts beautifully with the light.
We approached this as more than documentation, capturing the atmosphere, the rhythm of the materials and how the pavilion sits within its setting.
A pleasure to be asked to collaborate on this one. And a big congratulations to the team on being selected as a finalist for the Architects’ Journal Small Projects Award 2026, well deserved.

MEET BEN — Photographer & Creative Director 🫡
Ben Benoliel is the co-founder of 2812 Studio and a photographer with over a decade in the fashion and creative industry. A First Class Honours graduate of London College of Fashion, Ben has led studio and creative teams at oki-ni and co-founded LN-CC.
Now based in Saltburn, Ben works across fashion photography and creative consultancy, alongside his role as Creative Director & Photographer at 2812 Studio.
