Valley opened during the pandemic, and was therefore excluded from financial support from the government. Feeling like we’re in the clear for the wellbeing of our local food shed because restrictions are lifting and the pandemic lockdown many of us have felt is easing? Not quite. With a current drought and West Coast fires looming, plus handfuls of small food businesses that haven’t received government support, need remains for farmers, wine makers, and restaurants to receive financial support in the form of nonrecoverable grants (nonrecoverable = aren’t required for repayment). With two grant cycles behind us in 2021, we’re here to ensure small food & beverage businesses get the support they need.
