A mix of middle distance, long distance, Olympic distance and one big season finale in Barcelona. Looking forward to the training, the challenges and the memories along the way.

🏁 T100 TriHard Almere 🏁
About yesterday: big race day Sunday. Scheduled was the T100 in Almere, my first time this distance in race format:

Race start. There was no pre set goal or pacing since I've neglected swimming a lot and also the shoulder injury didn't helped...
Still swimming was good. Double swimcap due to the water being 13,7°C. Completed it well and no shoulder issues, 1km distance.

Onwards to the bike. Start of the route was either side- or tail wind. Needed to compensate for the head wind on the return. Total of 3 laps were done, 89km.

Last part and the most interesting for my legs. Pace was pre set and to my surprise could hold this pace troughout the 10k distance.

And then the finish. Only went faster at the very end of the run, the last 500m. Just to get good data for the coach and the road to the next event. My finish time was 04:20:12 and very happy with this time. Now my target time for the half Iron Man comes into play.
Legs were dead, so recovery is needed. As well for some inprovement points for the coach and me to work on.
Onwards we go. Ready for more...
